Hi Everyone....I'm back to the Disboards after a years absence. We went to Disneyland last summer and had a BLAST! My littlest one got to experience a princess makeover BBB and since we were celebrating her birthday, she got all kinds of special treatment. Of course being told "Happy Birthday, Princess" wherever she went kinda made her YEAR! LOL

We stayed at the DLH and we loved it! Every part of our trip went smoothly and we were sad to leave. Both girls (ages 4 and 14) almost cried when we had to leave.

Now...having said all of that. I swore that we'd go again in 5 years....but with my oldest graduating from high school next year, I am planning a trip for next summer....I'd like to know if there is any benefit to booking for June over July (other than the heat LOL) and when ya'll think I should book our travel package.

I'm worried that if I book too far in advance, that specials might crop up and being a single mom, I need to save money where I can. :-)

I have fare watcher set up on Travelocity....are there any other sites you recommend for watching air fares??

Thanks for any advice or suggestions!

Cars Land is due to open next year, and rumors have it opening in June. But it's a huge project, and could well run late. I'd schedule your trip as late as possible if I were you. July would be better than June if you want to see this new land.

Use Bing or Kayak to check airfares. Both scan multiple sources to find the lowest fare. Airlines such as Southwest or Jet Blue can only be bought on their own website.

If you plan on staying onsite then look for the deals about 4 to 6 months out. If staying offsite I wouldn't worry about booking or planning all that early. Theres plenty of rooms and little need to book all that early. I find the lowest airfare about 2-3 months out but that really varies so it pays to watch.

Thanks for the tips...turns out that a friend from work is looking at going too and so it will be a blast to connect and have fun since our oldest girls are friends at their high school and our youngest will be in Kindergarten together in the fall (in her class...she's the teacher!) LOL

We are very excited to be making plans again.
