We as a family have been 3 times over the last 7 or so years and enjoying planning meals etc. this time we are going with my wifes family who have alwas stayed offsite.

My family will be two adults 30 with a 4 and 1 yearold. My wifes family will be two 50 year olds and a 19 yo.

Im bit worried about all the planning yhat will be involved as with fp+ Etc. we wont want to be in each others pockets all the time but i assume they ll be rides the all want to cone on to see the kids and others they ll have no interest in. They are also fussy eaters so dont want to book places only to be told they dont like it and we ll need to cancel and rebook for more people and maybe cancel precious adrs. All quite compicated.

Any tips?

I am currently planning a trip with not only extended family (in-laws) but two separate sets of friends also.

We agreed which parks we wanted to visit on which days and picked some favourite rides/attractions. I booked all of our FP+ at the 60 day point on the basis that they will/can change the individual ones they would prefer not to do for something else if they so wish.

As far as restaurants, I made a shortlist and sent links to my in-laws who chose which ones they definitely didn't want and the rest are on a list which we will choose from while we are there. I have made a few ADRs but if they decided not to come it's not a major issue as you only get charged if none of you show up (we will still go no matter what).

Thanks thats good news re adrs only matter if no one shows.

With fastpass + when you have linked accounts on mde is it all pretty simple in terms of everyone being able to change plans?

Yes, once you are all linked, it is definitely easier if one person makes all the FP+ reservations. Then each person or individual party (as long as they are linked to each other as well) can go and change individual FP+

Thanks. Do they need to log into my account or can they do it through their own?

They can do it through their own, they just need to make sure they are linked with other people whose FPs they need to change, not just with you. As long as you are all linked with each other. For example, my MIL is linked with me, DH and FIL. FIL is linked with me and MIL (as he will be unlikely to change anything) ad DH is just linked with me and MIL, not FIL as DH won't be changing anything either. MIL and I are linked with everybody else.

[. So they can let me do and change their fp s but i dont have to let them be able to change mine.
I like control!
