My family just returned from Disney, and we are already planning another group trip next year. We would like to get together close to Christmas time and experience Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party. If memory serves me correctly, they start offering this experience in November and extend it into January. However, I remember one year trying to find tickets for MVMCP the week of Christmas but couldn't find anything. Do they offer the experience that week? Perhaps it was just already sold out when I was looking. Also, I started looking at resorts, and many of them appear to be unavailable the week of Christmas 2021. I'm wondering if they are showing unavailable because they are DVC resorts and I'm looking for availability at a time that is greater than 12 months from now. I'm looking in the Fort Wilderness Area, so Boulder Ridge Villas, Copper Creek Villas, and Fort Wilderness Lodge. The Fort Wilderness Cabins are showing availability, but none of the other properties are. Any thoughts?

MVMCP is not happening this year, I think we all know why. But the years it does happen, the parties usually stop the Sunday before Christmas. After that point, the parks get so busy on their own, they don't need the parties to draw people.

As for the Villas, there are a certain percentage that Disney still controls, and they can sell for cash stays. As time gets closer, any unallocated rooms might be taken back by Disney for cash stays, also, but during Christmas week, that will be exceedingly rare.

Villas won't come online until 11 months or so out, cash or points, I often see them as unavailable until 11 months. I'd keep checking though, I know they go fast especially since WL is so wonderful at Christmas time.

MVMCP typically ends 3 or 4 days prior to Christmas Day.

We went the week before Christmas one year and we bought the tickets in October with no issues.. It was june when we made our hotel reservations..
More hotels will open as hotels open back up
