Hi everybody :)

I'm very new to the DIS so forgive me if I'm doing this wrong!

We're going in September but haven't quite booked yet as I'm still exploring the different ways of doing it. I'm taking my friend and her little girl who is 5 (will be 6 by then) and we are thinking NPB for 5 nights :-) I'm so excited!!!

Thinking to fly from Edinburgh to CDG (which I've done twice before) But Air France as SO EXPENSIVE at the moment! I'm thinking to go with easyjet and the price seems prety decent (about £114 each) I've never flown with easyjet before and must admit i'm a little anxious! Any tips/advice re the airline??

Also re the price. Its coming out at £983 for the three of us (just hotel, tickets etc) Nicole will go free as she is under 12. Does that seem like an okay price??

I've looked into HB vouchers (which I've done both previous trips. I think I may actually be cheaper just to pay for food when we are there. Esp since I'll get a shareholders discount. Any other tips re that?

Also....one more question! :lmao: BBWWS.... should I prebook or just get tickets from the village with the shareholders discount?? Any tips/help/advice muchly appreciateed in advance :thumbsup2

Hello :goodvibes

If you look at this thread

http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2858679

you can see the different price options for BBWWS

I'v never had any pbs with Easyjet and I know a few people use them so I wouldn't be too worried

Concerning the price for the package and HB I've no idea as I've never bought/done either but I'm sure there will be someone along in a bit to help out

Happy planning :thumbsup2

thanks :-) Do you have an AP presumably? I'll have a look at the link now thanks very much

Yep I've an AP ;) I didn't bother with shares as there isn't anything in it for me, besides Walt's we don't eat T/S in the park we got to Val d'Europe or eat C/S so an AP is better.

Ok, just after reading the link about BBWWS.... I gether that its cheapest to book through the 'Billet Malin' which is basically the French page?? It works out at only about £24 each!! Does it work ok? Little nervous about it!! :-)

Some people have no bother reserving them and then you get a spate of them where the transaction won't complete

You could, if it didn't work for you (I suggest informing your bank/card issuer before hand as they seem to think some foreign transactions are fraud) look at this thread

http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2750266

and get them from Fnac - you pay on line and go and pick them up in store - there is one in the Val d'Europe shopping centre or they will send them to you for 14,30€

We've flown a couple of times with Easyjet, not for a couple of years though, they've been fine.

There's a thread not too long ago about whether the newly refubished SL is better than NPB, but still cheaper.

We've flown with easyjet both trips - they were fine. You don't get a meal or anything but on that length of trip it's not a problem. Air France flight times are always awful for us so it's no choice.

Re SL, I think they are clicking on that people are booking up SL (see my other thread re SL price increase). For my trip (albeit June) there is discounted availability at NPB but not SL - probably due to the refurb. In addition, they have now switched the rooms around - until yesterday you were paying more for a lodge room (which may not have been refurnbed) than a main building lodge (which probably would have been refurbed). But now, they have it the right way round - more for main building room. It wasn't like that until yesterday.

As you are going Sept I'm sure it will be all change by then!

When are you going. Our first trip we went end September and it was bliss - parks were quite quiet, lots of character interaction and weather not too bad (one day of rain) :goodvibes Sadly, tied to school times now though!

I'm another who has never had a problem with Easyjet to and from CDG.
If you are intending getting shares and/or APs, there is no point having any of the half board packages, because you get more of a discount on your meals with shares (table/buffet service only) or your AP (table, buffet, and counter service).

We have stayed at both NPB and Sequoia and enjoyed both stays. How much discount does the price quoted include? it doesn't seem too unreasonable (by disney standards) for 5 nights. I normally book if the price has at least a 30% discount, otherwise I wait and see if a better offer comes along.

Also disney normally quote prices for upgraded rooms so you can often make the price cheaper by choosing a different type of room.

We have bought half board vouchers in the past but they only save you money if you eat from the set menus at the restaurants listed for the level of half board you have. When you use them at face value you get back what you paid for them based on the exchange rate when the brochure was printed, but make no savings.

@ Carrie cat - Thanks for all that info! i'll look into getting tickets through the French site. Stupid questions though.... Can I go on the French site Just to buy the BB tickets? I don't have to be booking the holiday as well do I? As I planned to do that over the phone (simply so that I only have to pay the 10% deposit :rolleyes1)

@ Julesdis and DLP Dreams - Thanks. Just really need reassurance with regards to the whole easyjet thing :thumbsup2 I wouldnt be expecting a meal anyway. How many airlines actually give you a free meal these days :lmao: Living up in the Shetlands, the only airline we have out of here is flybe so I'm used to the budge airline thing! I also found airfrance times were rubbish!

We plan to fly from here (Shetland Islands) to Edinburgh on the early morning flight (0740) which means getting out of bed at 5am at the very latest :scared1: but it means we can catch the 13.45 from Edinburgh to CDG with easyjet. This means we will arive at the hotel late afternoon which is perfect really. Enough time to settle in, familiaris the other two with the hotel etc (they are newbies) and an nice meal in the village and early night :cloud9: I want to be able to get the whole of the last day in when we fly home and I'm thinking to go for the 1840 flight home from CDG. It means we will get the best part of the last day anyway! Incidentally, does anyone know if the times they show on the Easyjet site for the return flight is the french time or british??

Saw your post about SL and the price increase. Thats terrible!! Would you not considered NPB?? It's a really lovely hotel?

I am hoping the prices will stay the same for NPB until Tuesday when I plan to book it (PAY DAY!!)

We are thinking to on the 18th September for 5 nights. I'm so glad you've said it was bliss as I was worried the weather would be much colder. However, I've seen a few time on here that September is a good month to go. Character intervention is one of the main things I'm after as Nicole (6) has never been before and she is at the PERFECT age for it :cloud9: I KNOW I'm going to cry when I see her face.....

DLPdaft - More reassurance :thumbsup2 thanks! Its been nearly 3 years since I was last in DLP so my confidence is a little low! I thought I would be better off with my shareholders discount on the meals but its good to hear it from another expert! The only other advantage with the HB vouchers is that once you're there, EVERYTHING is paid for but we will just need to save save save :rotfl2:

@jothp - The price quoted gives 30% off (at least that's what it says in the package summary online) I too wait for a good discount first :lmao: Only thing is, given my luck, I'll book it next week and a week later there will be a new, better offer (like 40% or 50%) that happened last time!! I made sure that I 'unticked' the admirals floor option (which as you said it seems to default to!) that saved almost £100!!

Thanks guys  its great to have so many experts in one place!

Theres a woman at my work who is taking her family to DLP in April. She's been before but not since the parc very first opened so i've been helping her out. She can't get over how obsessed I am! She's also the reason I'm booking my September trip! I just got too jealous!!! :lmao:

The BBWWS tickets can be bought without booking anything else on there no bother. Lots of people just buy tickets without the hotel package.

If you need any help with the Fnac site incase you can't go through the Disney one just shout :goodvibes

Flight times are always in the departure countries timezone so that 18.40 is French time
