Hi,

We are planning our first visit to sea world for many years, and we are not roller coaster people, so the priority will be the shows. I can see that some planning will be required due to timings, and I wondered if someone could give me an idea of how long before the show times we should aim to get to each stadium pls?:thumbsup2

We will be there on a Sunday in early October if that makes a difference:confused3

Many thanks

The first time I ever went to Sea World it was just DH and myself. We did not have the kids with us so we weren't interested at all in riding the rides.

I looked up online at the Sea World website for the day we were going to be there and checked the schedule of shows. I planned it so we could basically go from show to show with a break in there for lunch.

We spent almost an entire day seeing 5 different shows and having lunch.

The way the shows are times you can keep yourself busy most of the day.

If you want to be able to pick your seats and not get stuck sitting any old place you should show up for each show 30 minutes prior to showtime.

And some shows...for example the first show we went to was at 10. We got in there at 9 or 9:15 and found on the map where the first show was at and we headed over there. We got there 30 minutes early and got in line and about 20 minutes before the show they start letting ppl in to seat themselves. The show lasts about 20-30 minutes then we were done by 10:30 and headed directly to the next show that was to start at 11.

I strictly scheduled us for the shows according to the times and not by the location of where they were in the park. So we did some criss crossing of the park but since we were focused on the shows and not the rides it didn't matter. We had the time.

Clyde and Seamore Take Pirate Island (Sealion Show)- About 30 Minutes
Blue Horizons (Dolphin Show)- About 25 Minutes
One Ocean (Shamu Show)- About 25 Minutes
A'lure (Acrobat Show)- About 20 Minutes
Pets Ahoy (Dog and Cat Show)- About 15 Minutes

SW says to arrive 30 mins prior to the show. For ALure I would get there early. There are only two shows and it fills up fast. You want good seats for that and if you get there late it will be hard.

We saw 3/5 shows even though we left at 3:30pm, so if you can stay the whole day, you could definitely see them all I think.

We did 10am Horizons, noon One Ocean, and 2:30 Clyde and Seamore with LOTS of time in between to eat and ride rides / see exhibits.
