Well, I guess it is time to start planning for the October 2007 trip to WDW...

I received a call from my mother yesterday and she said, "we need to plan another family trip to Disney." Meaning, she wants me to make plans for all of us to go... (ie.. set the dates, book hotels, check airfare, check tickets, explore the dining plan, make ADRs, etc). Now we aren't talking about a huge group, but somewhere in the neighborhood of 8-12 people. Well, I told her that I could only "afford" to book 3 studios, possibly 4 if I can get them all at OKW (but would have wait until 7 months to get 3 of them and would have to borrow from 2008). Anyway, so I told her I would look at dates but it would probably be during college Fall Break (Columbus Day week).

So, the headache begins... if I actually proceed with this I am definately going to be glad it's during F&WF... cause I'll need as much wine as I can get!!!

Might have to start early while I'm at F&W in a couple of weeks! :drinking1

We're also planning an Oct. 2007 trip with my parents along. I'm definitely planning on spending as much time as possible at the F&WF! :drinking1

We have also started planning for next Oct. We have never done MNSHP or F & W so this will be a real treat. This will also be our first time 'Home'. I am in th esame situation vascubaguy, my sister-in-law and her 5 kids are coming summer of 2008 so I am trying to figure my points out as well.

If the family with DGC comes with us next year, it's going to be during October as well, but we're looking a little bit later. We'll only be able to book the main room at 11 months, don't have enough VWL points left for everyone. There's lots of good reasons to go in October!! Have fun planning.

Bobbi :thumbsup2

I have a trip this year Oct. 27-Nov. 4 staying at BCV and we're doing F&W Festival (as well as MNSSHP) because this trip is an all adults trip.

But in Oct 2007 (Columbus Day week), I will be taking my nephew for his 16th birthday. My home resort is OKW but I'm thinking of trying to get into BWV because I think it will offer my nephew things to do when we're not at the parks. I haven't stayed at either yet. I became a DVC member last year and so far I've stayed at Saratoga Springs and BCV.

I know its going to be difficult to get into BWV next October because of F&W, but I managed to get in BCV this October so I hope my luck continues.

If not, then I'll decide between OKW and VWL. OKW because its my home resort and I haven't stayed there yet, plus the points are less. VWL because its near my favorite park, Magic Kingdom.

Decisions...decisions...don't you wish all decisions in life were this difficult (mmm which Disney DVC resort should I stay at.....so difficult....ha-ha).

We are planning for October 2007 too. From the 6-13. As far as we know, it will be just DH and I. It'll be our first time at the F&W Festival by ourselves and at MNSSHP by ourselves.

We're planning an October 2007 trip as well. Our DGS will be old enough to go trick or treating and our DD wants him to do it at WDW. Good enough reason I'd say. LoL

My husband and I are leaving in less than 3 weeks (can't wait) for Columbus day weekend for my 40th birthday. It's our first time going without the kids! Our favorite time of the year to go to WDW is in October. We love the food and win festival but my kids are too old to pull out of school now, DD 14 and DS 11, so we never get to go in October anymore. Even though we will only be staying 3 nights, it's worth it to go to the Food and Wine Festival!!

We'll be there the same week! 19 days to go!!!

And we are both going to be pre-celebrating our 30th Birthdays :goodvibes
Our birthdays are actually the week after columbus day, but we figured we celebrate for 2 weeks. :dance3:

Us too. Our trip for 2007 will be 10/6-10/13. My sister and I are taking my nephew for his 16th birthday. It's a tradition I started in 2003. Each time one of my nieces/nephew turn 16, they get a trip to WDW from me. My nephew's 2 older sisters have already gone, one in 2003 and one is 2005. Next year is finally his turn and he can't wait.

We picked that week so that he'll miss 4 days of school instead of 5 since they're off on Columbus Day. Plus we picked October so we can attend MNSSHP.

Us too! Oct 2007 we will be celebrating our 10th wedding anniversary :cheer2: Not yet sure of the exact dates, but we will be at BWV and trying out a beach cottage for the first time! :yay:

Happy planning all :woohoo:
