OK all, new here and with all the different Disney board's/Forum's, I though the most popular Forum would be the one to come to for answers.

The tentative plan...arrive Orlando area in early Oct 2016, spend the first 3 week's at the Thousand Trail's Park, Orlando, then 2 week's at the Fort followed by up to 3 more weeks at Thousand Trail's. So in a word, we could be in the area for up to 8 weeks, traveling by RV . Our plan would be to leisurely visit the Park's while off site and then aggressively visit while on site hence we would be looking to get Annual Pass'es.
With that in mind and the time of year, would adding the Water Parks be worthwhile? And the BIG question is, does the Fort offer any discounts(and what are they) for those with annual Passport's? I realize I'd have to have the Passport in hand before trying to get a discount, I just want to know what that discount might be.

Thank you for any help, suggestions, idea's?

I didn't have to wait long before doing a search on this Board...I guess my question regarding discounts has been asked many times before...Oh well, it's only been 20 + year's since we last visited so it will take me a while to get up to speed. LoL...:flower1:

Welcome to the camping board! Keep your fingers crossed that AAA makes a contract with WDW for 2016.

And if you haven't booked for Halloween yet, you may not get a site. See Bama Ed's prior post on this subject. Halloween sells out very quickly at the Fort.

Over on MouseSavers, they have a listing of past discounts offered at WDW which will give some indication of what past trends have been and possibly an indication of the future.

Of course, the devil is in the details as to what resorts these discounts apply to. Many of the discounts exclude the campsites. Recently the Fort hasn't had many discounts available at all. You will see, though, in the link some for August-early October which campers at the Fort DID report getting.

And like Chris referred to above, if you haven't nailed down your Fort time in October yet, better do it soon if you still can.

And Dwight, welcome to the DIS Camping Board. :welcome: :disrocks:

Hi all...Thank you fort the welcome. I figured Halloween would be out, that's why I thought in the beginning of Nov would be a good time to try and squeeze in at the Fort? before the rush starts for Thanksgiving! As to the Annual Passport, if we get that during the 3 week period we're off property, we'll only go when we haven't scheduled something else or try to go to the area's that might be less busy(other than the Magic Kingdom/Epcot). The push to use the Passport would be the two week time we are ON Site. Since it's been awhile that we were there, I've purchased both the Official and Un-official Guides to everything Disney.....maybe I can get up to speed with those publications and your help here.
