Planning for May 2009

Our family is in the early planning stage for May 21 through ???? We like to stay 8 or 9 days so we can take our time.
We plan a trip every other year. Our last trip in 06 with 16 family members.
We stayed at POR and enjoyed it very much. In 04 we stayed with my best friends family at WL. This time we are thinking of not inviting anyone to go with us. Its been a long time since just the 4 of us have gone with out family or friends.
Our big decision right now is WHERE TO STAY. Everyone has a different opinion. My husband and son want to stay at the WL. My daughter wants to stay at AKL. And I dont know what I want.
Can anyone tell me how the weather and crowds are at the end of May. We have always gone the 2nd week of June.

We are going May 2009 also. We last went May 2006 and stayed at the Swan. The weather in May is pefect. We had warm/hot sunny and breezy days, low humidity, and cool nights. Not a drop of rain. My sister went this year in May and also experienced perfect weather so I think it tends to be a great time to go. The parks are not as crowded either. We are trying to do every other year and make it a longer stay. Next vacation will be 10 days. Can't wait!

For vist and WL and AKL are both awesome resorts and you will be happy with which ever one you chose.Should have great weather and moderate crowds so happy planning your Disney experience. Danny

We have booked a trip for May 22 - May 31, 2009! We will be staying at VWL (which is our absolute favorite!). We stayed at SSR last time and felt that it was a little too far from all the parks which meant long bus rides (not to mention 5 separate bus stops within SSR). So we are returning to VWL. The convenience of the boat to the MK is incredible. Plus, the ambiance of WL is amazing! But I am concerned about the weather at the end of May. The last time I was there in May, the weather was very hot (90's) and very humid and it was only the first week of May! So we are hoping for something just a little cooler in May 2009!
