Hi.

My BFF just informed me that she and her mom will be joining my mom and I on our trip in September (they were asked). Our moms know each other from our homes and going out to dinners. We are DVC and I have a two bedroom at GFVs.

My trip with my mom is Thursday, September 5 through Saturday, September 14 and my friend and her mom will just be coming early morning Friday, September 6 and leave on Monday, September 9.

They will just be doing two park days, so we will go to Magic Kingdom and Epcot.
When I looked on UT last night, it seems the least park days I can purchase is three days, so I am just going to purchase two 1 day park passes through the Disney site for them, is this what you would recommend (my mom and I have APs).

I am not sure if I should do MK first or does it really matter (my friend said she doesn't care I should just decide everything).

The way my mom and I tour is we usually do RD, done at lunch. Eat lunch at a park or back at Villa (we order food/alcohol to our room for the week) and then a nice sit down at night. This works for my friend/her mom too when I asked last night. Both moms will have scooters.

How would you plan the 2.5 days:

Friday, September 6:
They arrive and we are not doing park. They will be getting up very early for their flight and my friend works until 11 pm the evening before and gets home about midnight.
Was thinking pool if they want
Snacks, wine, drinks and dinner.
I made ressies for Grand Floridian Cafe and figured if they wanted to resort hop after dinner for a drink(s) we can do it or go back to room. I also thought they wanted to resort hop, we could take the walk from GF to Poly and try to get into Trader Sams. I know my friend will want to not sure about the moms and we can decide that day. Does this sound ok?

Saturday, September 7:
MK is open until 9 pm or later, can't remember but it is a Saturday.
But, it is also a Saturday during Food/Wine at Epcot.
I also booked last night the Rose and Crown Illuminations Package Dinner (I also have this booked for September 11 when it was just my mom and I going but will need to cancel) in case we go to Epcot.
If we do MK, I will find a dinner on the monorail line or should I get them to DTD? I also think it would be nice to do ToTW at BLT for drinks, apps after/before a meal.

Sunday, September 8:
MK is open until 6 pm since MNSSHP (we will not do the party).
I don't care that it is open until 6:00 pm since we are not going back to the park in the evening or having dinner there.
I also booked the Rose and Crown Illuminations Package Dinner for this night also in case we go to Epcot this evening.

Should I do Epcot on a Saturday during F&W or MK on a Saturday, with higher crowds than a Sunday?

Should I just stay on the monorail and have dinner somewhere on my MK night or go to DTD?
Maybe Wine Bar George? My mom and I enjoy it there.

The sad thing is I will have to give up my CG Brunch but I will try to book it when we go in January.

Thank you very much for any help you can give me. I will get my friend's credit card and purchase her tickets and they are on my MDE with my being in charge of their ressie so I can book their dining and will book the FPs. I added them last night to my DVC reservation.

Thank you all very much.

You can buy 2-day tickets on the Disney site.

Epcot and MK will be crowded that weekend so just plan on crowds for your park days.

What would you and others choose? Epcot on a Saturday in September during F&W or MK on a Saturday on a non-party night. We wont be going back to MK in evening so closing time doesnt matter.

Where to go to eat on our MK evening? I know they cant see and do all so not sure where to go on monorail (we are doing GF Cafe the first night if they are tired) since will already have been at GF or go to DTD.

Once I figure out above, I can move forward with my MK dining.

Thank you.

I would do MK on Sunday - it is usually less crowded on a party day, and you wouldn't go at night anyway.

As far as dining, that depends a lot on what they like to eat :goodvibes

You could do DTD on Friday since you aren't doing the parks and it is probably less crowded during the week. Then do GFC or another monorail restaurant on your MK night.

Thank you. I would have loved for them to start out with MK but thinking, like you, it will be less crowded on a non party Sunday and they dont have a clue.

Not sure about DTD their first day but it is a good idea and would prefer to do that but with someone who is 80 and my friend who will have about three hours sleep, not really sure it will be the best idea. Ill talk to my mom tomorrow and see where she may want to eat on our MK day.

Ill cancel my Sunday Illuminations dinner and do that on Saturday, which I also booked. Im not canceling my September 11 Illuminations dinner until they have their air and tickets purchased in case they change their mind. I would be so annoyed if I canceled September 11 and then they backed out and I couldnt get my ressie back.

I do enjoy The Wave but its not too Disney and there are other places with better atmosphere. Dont want to do Ohana and Kona Cafe isnt so exciting and dont want to eat at GF twice with them so isnt leaving me with many options lol. With MK closing at 6, we cant go back for dinner and Im not going to have them get Hoppers.

Thank you. Ill set my days with them and cancel my Sunday Illuminations dinner.
