Planning for Early May(discounts)

Its been a while since our family has planned a trip during this time of the year. I want to go ahead and start reserving rooms, but I keep thinking they'll put out discounts for early May since its only 5 months away. I'm really suprised there's nothing at all.

So, trying to decide whether to go ahead and get our rooms and then cancel/rebook for the discounts. Or should I wait...Traditionally when do the discounts come out for May?
