planning for 6/09

Does anyone know if reservations for June of 2009 are being accepted yet? I attempted to check this out on the disney site this am but it wouldn't accept the dates, saying that only reservations up to 12/08 were being accepted at this time. Just curious.... thank you!

The web site might not accept reservations that far out, but I've been able to make ressies by phone as much as two years in advance. The number is 1-407-W-DISNEY. Happy planning!

The website will only show availability for dates where the rates have been set, and the 2009 rates aren't available yet. (They're generally announced in August.)

You can make a room only reservation for June 09 by calling Disney -- I think you can actually call more than 500 days ahead. You will only be allowed to make a room-only reservation, but you can change it to a package later if you wish. There also won't be any discounts (i.e. AAA) available yet. And, as I learned last month when calling for a January reservation, they will quote you the highest 2008 rate for whatever room you choose, which means I paid a 1-night deposit equal to a holiday rate for my room at the Poly, even though I'm going during value season. When the rates come out in August, you can call and have them quote you the actual rate based on the new prices and also apply AAA, etc.

I make my reservations early because I like knowing I have something reserved. And it's just fun to have that confirmation in my inbox to remind me that I'm going on vacation!
