Is anyone on here planning a trip for 2010? We want to go in late Jan or Feb 2010, and would like to plan some of it now/get a basic idea on price ahead of time, so we can save up. How do you figure out pricing for then when the prices clearly won't be released for over a year?

Well, we ARE planning for 2010. Admitedly, we'll be going on my mother's DVC, so resort fees are pretty much covered. But as far as tickets and dining goes, we plan LOOSELY around historical prices. Granted, things could change in the next 597 days, but it gives you a rough idea of what to expect.

( I would say the same for airlines, but with everything that's going on with oil and new airline fees, who knows what will happen there! )

My vacations are planned well in advance as well. We are DVC members so we plan very far in the future. The accomodations are set in point system so there not a lot of guestwork with that.

However, when I plan that far ahead, I take into consideration what we plan on doing. Will we get the Dining Plan or eat out of pocket? Any other expenditures? Then I estimate, based on previous vacations. However, I will agree that the airfare will be difficult to estimate at this point.:sad2:

If you are purchasing rooms onsite, then you can estimate the price by checking on the website. I do believe they keep the same season every year, although some changes will occur if holidays fall at a different time (as Easter was early this year).

In planning your budget, look at pricing for your dates in 2009 - this should give you a relatively accurate guesstimate towards what to expect in 2010 on everything except possibly transportation costs. One positive, if the costs of travel continue to escalate, you are likely to find great deals on accomodation and meals outside of WDW.

Hi, we are going in late February 2010 and taking our niece and nephew...it is their first time!!! We usually use the rates from previous years to estimate how much everything is going to cost.

We will be heading there at the end of May 2010 - have to celebrate my big 4-0 with Mickey!! :lmao: Might make it easier to take :lmao:
We stay on our DVC points though but if I were looking for approximate pricing I'd take the 2009 prices and round them up - I'd rather budget too expensive then not enough!

We are planning to go in early Feb. with 12 family members. We have opened it up to friends to be there with us at the same time. One family of 4 have already committed and 2 other family,s are considering!!!!
