Planning for 2007...

I want to start planning for a trip in '07, but what kinds of things can I actually plan this far in advance? I need to do something to occupy my Disney Addiction.

I am planning for May 2007. We go every 2 years because it takes that long to save up. My first would be to figure out which category of resort you want to stay at (value, moderate, deluxe). That will help you to figure out how much you must save each money. Really, for the the initial planning is on picking the time of year, and the resort.

I totally agree! I would pick the category of resort first. See what you can afford. After the category is decided, then have fun and pick the actual resort! Have everyone in the family involved in the decision. It can be fun deciding! After accomodations are decided, what about thinking of what parks, what days based on THIS years hours? Of course, things are bound to change. But at least you will be planning! Then of course, you can try to plan which ADRs you want to make each day!! Then 6 months before your vacay, you can call for those exact ADRs.

Like I said, a lot will probably change between now and then, but at least you will have a few rough drafts!

I too am planning a trip to Disney in 2007 - I did learn that you can't actually make resort reservations till 500 days to the date. But isn't it fun to start planning!!
