Hi guys. I'm planning my first trip to Universal Studios Orlando with my girlfriend. Our plans are still pretty much up in the air, but I know for sure that we will be going the last week of May. I had a bunch of questions that I was hoping some of you might be able to help me with.
1. How busy would the parks be the last week of May (likely Sunday the 26th through Wednesday the 29th)?
2. We are debating between two days at the park and three days. I know that I definitely want to get an express unlimited pass as I love going on rides multiple times (either by staying on-site, or staying off-site and purchasing it separately). I am concerned that the 3rd day maybe unnecessary if we have an express unlimited pass. What do you guys think? Do the parks lose their fun if you've experienced all the attractions multiple times? I felt the 3rd day would allow us to take things more casually rather than rush through things, however I have no idea how much there is to see or experience. In general my plan was to do mornings and evenings in the parks and spend the afternoons in the pool at the hotel.
3. Has anyone purchased the express unlimited pass separately from staying on-site? Does it function the same way as staying on-site?
4. We are debating between staying at RPR and the Doubletree. All things considered, it looks like Doubletree is $200 cheaper overall (this is including the more expensive unlimited express tickets, which are unnecessary with RPR). Is the extra $200 worth staying at RPR? I am leaning towards the RPR, as $200 seems worth it to stay in a luxury resort.
5. Is it worth the added fee to get Park-to-Park tickets? I have no idea if we would park hop, so I'm curious as to what most people tend to do. It doesn't seem too much more expensive to get the Park-to-Park, but all these costs tend to add up.
6. Am I obsessing way too much over the express unlimited or is it really worth the extra cost?
Sorry for the barrage of questions. If anyone could help me with any of them, it would be very appreciated.
