My husband and I will be going in sep to Disney land we eat a whole food plant based for health reasons I am very dairy allergic and he for his heart because of his Heat attack and quadruple bypass we no longer can eat oils of any kind because of the damage it will do to his endothelial cells. can anyone recomend a basically vegan fair at Diseyland

I think that if you contact guest services that they can help you with this.

This may be a case where you would be better off bringing your own food to DLR. Disney does allow this as long as none of the food is in glass containers. Instead of carrying whole meals, you could easily bring small amounts of foods to eat throughout the day (pack your food in a small, soft sided cooler). If there are foods you feel safe eating, it could be worth the peace of mind to bring these with you so that you can relax and enjoy your visit to the parks.

Do a search on vegan in the main DL board. You'll find a lot of threads on the topic. Also check out the Disney Rocks Food Allergies group on Facebook.

You should be well taken care of for vegan options at DL. You'll have a lot more options at TS restaurants over QS but even QS has some stuff and if you do some searches on the main DL board you should find them pretty easily. I like to write up a list of what safe foods I can find where in the parks (we have lots of allergies) so that I can just go up to the places that I already know have something we can eat. It takes away a lot of stress and saves a lot of park time.

My mom suffers with her health and is also a Vegan. Here is a great blog post I had read a while ago on this topic while I was doing some research for her:

She said that all the information in the post is true. She had no trouble at all at any of the dining locations in Disneyland. Most of the menus had a 'vegan' option right on it, labelled as 'vegan' right on the menu. Tons of other places had salads etc and were VERY accommodating when she asked for no cheese etc. Also, at one place the chef actually came out to discuss her food restrictions with her… She was incredibly happy with the care and knowledge of the staff.

There are a ton more if you just google "vegan dining' or 'vegetarian dining' in Disneyland…

Happy eating!
