Ok - I tried to search the forums, because I know that I have read posts about what you put in your planning binders. I can't seem to find what I read before!
What information do you typically gather before your trip to WDW? What don't you like about the books that are out (like the Passporter)? Do you use a regular 'binder' or ???
Thanks so much for your help! I love to plan-and don't know when our next trip will be...because we just got back  but I'm hoping there will be another trip to WDW really soon!

I have a little one (3.35 x 5) it fits perfectly in my fanny pack and I print the info on small cards, hole punch them and put them in (I got the little binder at Target)

this is what I had for our trip last week:

Contact Information (mine) and emergency contacts
My annual pass information (numbers in case we lost them)
People we were meeting and their information
Flight Information (Times/confirmation/airline phone #)
Hotel Information (dates/confirmation/ phone #)
Car Rental (dates/confirmation/ phone #/rate information)
Weekly Itinerary Plan
Priority seatings
Pins I wanted to buy (there were a lot of special ones I wanted to get last week)
Daily Park hours sheet for each day with all park times and parades listed
Each park had a page with height requirements and Fast Pass pages
EMH attractions

If you want me to e-mail you a copy of the pages - I would be happy to do so

I want to make a planning type binder for my mom and dad. They are not commando style wdw people, and they have no idea why we want to go for 7 nights!! When they go with my brother, they go to one or two parks for a little bit and spend the rest of the time at the pool (they stay offsite)! I am so grateful that the Travel channel has done the special, and they were home each time I called "quick watch the travel channel pretty please"!! :goodvibes

So now mom wants to see that "fantastic' show, or something, I dont want to stand in lines, I didnt know they had a parade at night? There's fireworks at more than one park? :rotfl: Dad wasnt sure about spending $134 a night for a hotel room, he thinks they only spent $59 a night for offsite... I googled and found their hotel for $79 they stayed in last year! So with a Florida discount they and dh and I are compromising - POFQ! I hope they'll "get the disney magic" when I'm done with them!! :wizard:

So for my binder, I want more of an itenary, a photo guide of each park... I'll do a 3 ring binder but I hope to include color pictures... not sure how to do all of this... I have ordered the MNSSHP so I would like to include the menu and pics of LTT, and the special parades... with food and wine, I'm not sure what extras we'll go for, or what I can talk them into.... so I thought a binder will help me "seal the deal" and let mom know why we need more than 7 nights at disney!!

I remember seeing that someone carried with them the locations of pressed coin machines and hidden mickeys. Wondering if it is worth it to try to get that info. in my binder?
Do you carry all your information with you the whole time...like when you go into the park do you only have what you might need then, or do you just keep the binder complete the entire trip?
You guys are great!

ok, go here, click on disneyworld, it takes you to a 12 page document/spreadsheet. Quite honestly, I wasnt that keen on the pressed pennies, I did bring pennies and quarters for dd8, and any time she wanted to I let her press a penny.... but we didnt seek it out...

they also have geocaching and GPS Markers that dh thought was cool (beeep beeeep warning, warning geek alert!! *Big Evil Grin!! :teeth: )

I had a list of Live Entertainment...http://pages.prodigy.net/stevesoares/ http://pages.prodigy.net/stevesoares/

This site has lots of Downloads, and helpful info... http://www.themouseforless.com/

This page has the downloads for mousekeeping envelopes, packing list etc, etc...http://www.themouseforless.com/downloads/tripdownloads.shtml

and over here is "pocket guides" that are extremely helpful... for me!
