I am planning on asking my GF to marry me on our next disney trip. It is coming up fast. I was wondering if anyone had any ideas about good places to do this? Also if anyone has done this and can give me some pointers or advice on the place to propose. I really apreciate your help!

Depends on what you'll think she will like. You can propose to her on a carriage, or in front of Cinderella's Castle (though she make expect it), you can do it during Wishes...or how about at Epcot (maybe in France or Italy) during Illuminations? What about a romantic restraunt. Some restaunts will have the chocolate glass slipper that you can put the engagment ring in.

My brother will be proposing on our trip as well! He will be purchasing a glass slipper from Arribas Bros (on Main St. & DTD; I'll be picking it up for him so his GF doesn't see it) and then he'll pop the question on the steps of the castle (they'll walk off by themselves while he does this but you better believe we'll be hiding in a bush w/the zoom lense of our camcorder going). Perhaps your GF has a favorite ride that you can do it on (of course if it's Space Mountain that would be a little difficult). I'm sure if you decide to do it at a romantic dinner that the CM could arrange to have the ring placed on her dessert. Maybe dinner at California Grill at the Contemporary when the fireworks are going off at MK. They also have an observatory deck. Or perhaps renting a Wishes or Illuminations cruise. Whatever you decide will be special because a girl never forgets how she was proposed to and nobody ever forgets a trip to WDW. Good luck with whatever you chose. :thumbsup2

What about Gifts of a Lifetime ? I think they are pricey but would probably be able to make it extra special !

I'm so excited for your future fiancee. Being proposed to at Disney is so absolutely sweet. I'll share my proposal with you.

My DH and I were at DisneyWorld on vacation. Our first trip there together and I was so excited to be sharing it with him as I had always gone with family or friends. One night he was adamant about going to Pleasure Island to go to the clubs. After a long day at the parks I was less than thrilled with the idea but he convinced me to get dressed up and head to PI. We did the rounds and were having a great time. Right around 11:45p he started bugging me saying he "had" to see the show on the West End Stage. We made our way through the crowd and were standing in the circle enjoying the music when it turned to midnight. If you've ever been to PI at midnight, you know what happens. Confetti cannons blast tons of the stuff off of the rooftops and it falls down like snow over the crowd. During this confetti storm, my husband dropped down to one knee in front of everyone, pulled out the most beautiful princess cut (of course at WDW it would have to be a princess cut) diamond and asked me to marry him. Awww....... It was so sweet and everyone applauded when I said yes. We then went on the the Wildhorse Saloon which I miss sorely and he had the band, (the now famous Diamond Rio) play a song just for us. The band members also came over to our table during the break and did shots of tequila with us lol. I've got to say it was one of the most memorable and magical nights of my life. I will treasure it always and I love him dearly for it.
I know that your GF will feel exactly the same way. Don't be afraid to be too corny, you'll be glad you did.

P.S. Guess where we spent our honeymoon exactly one year later?? :wizard: pixiedust: :wizard: pixiedust:

How exciting for you!! There is a wishing well hidden to the right of Cinderella's castle. That would be a romantic place to ask her. Good luck with it all!

I was just recently proposed to at the GF, it was magical and out of the way and perfect.

We were there for the Millennium. I rented the Grand One (a yacht) at GF. We watched the fireworks over the Magic Kingdom from the boat, then had a private dinner where I proposed. Tres romantic!

What about a WISHES cruise and propose during the fireworks, sounds romantic to me!!! Good luck and congratulations!
