I like to prepare everything ahead of time so that my life is easy when we arrive at FW. I either make the meal ahead of time or at least par cook some of the food.

*do a couple of casseroles (lasagna & french toast)
*prep some crock pot meals (pulled pork, beef stew) - I love these because I put them in the crock pot & they are ready when we get back to FW for dinner, then relax & head back to the park.

I'd love to hear some other tips!

One thing I did was to pre-cook a bunch of boneless chicken breasts, slice them, and re-freeze prior to going. I used this to make quick meals like chicken caesar salad wraps (with prewashed bagged romaine), sweet and sour chicken, chicken burgers, quesadillas etc. I also had done a bunch of spaghetti sauce with ground beef up in the crock pot too one day, so when we got back I just had to cook the noodles and with the rest of the romaine made another caesar salad. Any of the meals I had planned that took longer to prepare never got made!

Maybe a bit off topic, but is there a crock pot in the cabin? We're staying there in EXACTLY 8 weeks (can't tell I'm excited, can you??!!! ;) ) and was planning on what to make as fast, easy and yummy meals!! :cool1:

I don't know... we have a travel trailer, but I would suggest packing some of those disposable tin pans in your suitcase (if you're flying). At least that way you won't have to do as many dishes if you bake a casserole.
