planning a trip

I need some help in planning a summer trip. I have been to both disney and universal before, but I am a bit confused on how to get the best deal at universal. I am planning a 4 day trip for 4 adults and 4 children in July. I want to stay onsite. Please could someone give me their best advice.

Not trying to sound rude here - but my best advice is to read several days worth of threads here! Go to the Universal resorts board and look at the "what is your date and rate?" thread. Usually the best deal is with the entertainment book. But really - I think if you read this board, the trip reports board and the resorts board you'll find out all you need to know!
