planning a trip to DL

Hi, I'm just back from an 8 day trip to WDW with my daughter who lives in LA and I've decided to plan a trip next year to DL for a change! What is the best time to go as far as low crowds? What is the weather during those times? I'm leaning toward the Ramanda Maingate as I've read good reviews about it. Planning on booking a trip through the Disney website. I did this with the WDW trip and it worked out well. Does DL have free dining seasons as well? Thanks for any input!!

Be careful trying too hard for low crowds at DLR. The are more drawbacks than at WDW.

There doesnt seem to be a time when you can expect low crowds anymore with any degree of certainty. Many people are very surprised right now, after the high summer season being over, that the parks are still so crowded a lot of the time.
