Hello everyone! My boyfriend and I are planning our September trip to Disneyland and I could really use some advice!

Questions:
-Wheelchair? My fiance recently got into a car accident and messed up his knee...he doesn't require surgery and is released to work but isn't quite sure if he can do 5 days of hardcore walking. Does he need to jump through any hoops getting a wheelchair? A guest assistance card?
- Neither one of us have seen the new Star Tours and I'm not sure how the wheelchair thing works with that ride. We've also never been on the old one--it was always closed when we went. Would it be possible to go through the main cue if we asked a CSM to hold the wheelchair at the end of the line?

-Fairfield Inn? Has anyone stayed there? We want someplace that's really close to the parks, for obvious reasons. We had the privilege of staying in the Disney hotel when we went LAST September, but sadly that won't be an option this time. I'd love to hear reviews on this place.

-Crowds? We went last year in the second weekend in September. This year we're planning the 20-25th. It will be "Halloween time", but no Halloween parties. Can I expect moderate crowds?

-Magical vs Remember? When does Magical end and Remember begin?

Thank you!

Back when I worked in merchandise, if someone wanted to rent a wheelchair, they got one. There were never any hoops they had to jump through. I can't imagine that has changed. If you're unsure, just bring a dr's note.

We stayed at the Fairfield last December - I thought it was good for the price and distance. It was about a 7 minute walk (in the morning when we had all of our energy anyway). The beds were comfy and the bathroom set up worked well with the sink outside and toilet and shower in the "bathroom". The only complaint my husband had was that the shower head was low, but he's 6' 3".

We stayed at FFI just a few weeks ago and I concur with the pp. We'd stay again...we usually stay at Hojo's or Candy Cane Inn. (We've stayed at Desert Inn and the only real thing I like about it is the distance.)

Concerning your question on the crowds, touringplans.com has your weekdays listed as 3/10 and the weekend you are there as 7/10.... so should be a nice stay crowd-wise :)

What is your "Magical vs Remember" question about?

Figured out you were asking about fireworks shows on Magical/Remember :)

They haven't released any info on shows for September yet. Seems like last year, we didn't hear about the fall until August. Just keep checking back.

Moderate or low is what I would call the crowds then. Great weekdays and crowded as usual weekends. Nothing super crowded exept the rethemed Space and HM, maybe too LMAUA and ST.

Magical is the special summer fireworks, it will end on Labor Day, September 5th. Because it is then the offseason Remember Dreams come true(the standard DL firework show) will start but probably only play Friday through Sunday.
