Not sure if Febuary is a good time to go to Disneyland. I hear it is not very busy early Febuary.. That is our main reason to go that month. But is it cold, rainy?

Also are there any deals out there right now for Febuary 2013? Free Meal plan, ect...

Is the meal plan worth it for three little kids and 4 adults?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I have felt the magic of Disney my whole life and I am so excited to bring my family back!!!

thank you

As long as you aren't going during the week of the Presidents Day holiday then you will be fine. It is quite busy at that time but we still enjoyed ourselves (it was my daughters first trip to DL).

The weather was fine but it changes each year. You will need jeans and a hoodie during the evenings but we wore t-shirts during the day.

We did get a 5 day park hopper for the price of 3 days but with Carsland opening up I'm not sure if they will have that again this year. Someone else might be able to give a little more insight to that.

I've never done the dining plan -- don't know anything about it. lol

Keep in mind that the park hours are usually shorter in the off season. Not sure if that matters to you or not.

Have a great trip! There is nothing better than taking your family to DL the first time!!

Whether Feb is a good time to go depends on your priorities. If low crowds is a high priority then Feb is a good time. If weather is a high priority then probably not. If greater access to rides and shows is a high priority it definitely is not.

We went in late Feb (after President's Day) this year. The weather was mild and we did get rain one day but it was just enough to keep people away so we threw on our ponchos and went for it! I loved it and it didn't bother the kids either. One thing I was bummed about was that they opened up leap day for 24 hours and it was a mad house. We spent most of that day in DCA but when we went back at night to DL it was not even possible to walk around the park. Overall, I would do that time of year again to lose the crowds.

if I was going to recommend one month to steer clear of I think it would be Feb...for several reasons:

1. short SHORT park hours

2. several possible refurbs and certain shows only on weekends

3. although it doesnt rain a whole lot here, if we are going to get rain, Feb. will be a prime month for it and rain at DL does frighten me away...I cant stand to go around in wet clothes/shoes and it be cold outside...

and the worst is all the above but you are still paying the same amount for tix as you would going at a peak time of year when everything is running...on the good side though....although its cold after sundown, its pretty nice in the day and there are some good package offers as well as hotel discounts during that time of year...

DL meal plan is not like the WDW one. You get vouchers of certain worth (cannot remember what exactly but just say $5, $15, $25) and do not receive change if you are paying for something less than the vouchers worth. Some people find it good as they have pre-paid their meals but others will just say purchase a giftcard and prepay for meals that way.
