May 2012 will be our 20th and thinking of planning a long weekend for the two of us. My husband coaches Lacrosse in the spring so it couldn't be longer than 3-4 days. We haven't been away just the two of us since our 16 yo was 2 - although we both love DCL for the adult alone time.

I took my boys to Flying Fish in July and really liked the feel of the Boardwalk. I liked the location close to Epcot/HS. I was thinking we could have nice dinner at FF and go to jellyrolls and Atlantic Dance Hall. I also thought he would love the ESPN club.

All you Boardwalk experts help me. Does this sound "romantic" or fun enough. I was also thinking of staying at the Beach Club Conceirge which would be nice as well. Need some help. Our "home" is AKV and could also go there but want to try another resort.

Thanks for any help. :)

DO IT! :lovestruc
and Congrats. !!!!

DH and I are going for out 10 yr 3 nights for food and wine festival. Though it is a different trip than with kids, it can still be perfect for couples!

I think BWV is a little better for adults only, as SAB is really the sell with BCV. BWV has the BW, ESPN, Jell Rolls. Entertainers.

I think you will be happy at either, but I would for sure vote BWV in a 1 bedroom over a BC con.

we are leaving..in just a few weeks!...four our 20th anniversary trip! Here's our plans: three nights at BLT. We have MVMCP on the first night, and plan on enjoying Food and Wine festival a couple of times. We really love the Top of the World Lounge, so that will make for some nice evenings watching the firewworks. I think the best part of our plan is that since we only intend to do MK and EP, we won't have to ride any busses!! :)

We did the Chef's Table at VnA for our 15th Anniversary....that was a blast......

I think it sounds wonderful!! We did BWV for our 9th anniversary. We had a great time. I think it will be romantic anywhere you decide to go:thumbsup2

Thanks for all the info about BWV - kind of what I was thinking. Thanks for your input!

Congrats on 20!!! There aren't too many of us who can say that! Enjoy Food and Wine - would love to do that as a couple (without boys).

Thanks..but we are 11 years married now;)Last year for our 10th we went to Hawaii.this year for our 11th we went to an Eagles game:confused:....not as much fun.

For our anniversary in disney we did Deluxe dining and had a lovely romantic meal at Flyin Fish. We went to California Grille and had a table by the window to watch wishes. We also went to Mickey's not so scary Halloween party..We had a really nice time. The only down side is that our kids are still pretty young and we had a hard time without them in Disney because you see kids everywhere you go:)

While I love football - isn't it funny as the years go by you do less and less - LOL.

I think we'll miss the kids but they will be 17 and 11 so getting away from them is less painful but I don't think I could have been away from them when they were so little - silly now I realize. You are smart though - its really good for your marriage to get away from them - you need couple time.

Good ideas. thanks.
