HI,

My wife and I are going down to Disney World and will be down there for 3 and 1/2 days and we are hoping to hit all four parks. We have 2 boys, ages 6 and 3, both of which are interested in all four parks.

My biggest question is which park should we hit on the 1/2 day? Any advice?

Based on the ages of your boys, I'd say to do MGM on the half day. There isn't a whole lot for little ones to do there, IMO.

Is the half day going to be the afternoon you are arriving or the morning you are leaving? If it is the afternoon then MGM, if it is the morning then AK. AK is the earliest closing park. It can close any time between 5 and 8 pm so check the times.

MGM might be a good one to do for a half day, but depending on the show schedule you might miss some of the live shows. I don't want to throw a loop into your plans, but based on past experience with my three boys who were 2, 2 and 4 on one trip and 4, 4, and 5 on the last trip, you may want to consider spending more than one day in MK and skipping another park all together. I would go through the guidebooks and look at each attraction and make a list of must sees. Whichever park has the least must see attractions would be my choice for the 1/2 day or a park to skip all together.

I agree with the idea of spending more time at MK. Epcot-future world will have a few things for your guys (Figment, Honey I shrunk, Spaceship Earth), but I'd leave by noon time and take the monorail back to MK.

I also agree that MGM doesn't have much for little ones, I know, because I don't do thrill rides and MGM seems to be the one park that I "bench-warm" more than any other park!

So if it were me, I'd do:
MK
Epcot morning & MK afternoon
AK (Maybe a trip over to another park for some fireworks, if anyone is still up for it)
MGM on the 1/2 day.

Here's what Id do for the boys~

1/2 day FW EPCOT (meal at Garden Grille?)
full day MK (Crystal Palace maybe)
1/2 day AK (until lunch) 1/2 day MGM (Fantasmic, pizza planet?)
Full day MK (unless the boys have another preference) :grouphug:

I agree with The Sweetness - that way you can catch "Illuminations" at EPCOT the first night, and end the trip with MK.

There is so much to see at MK for those ages, 2 days there would be very enjoyable for you. Crystal Palace or Liberty Tree Tavern would be good character dinners.

If you go to AK in the morning, do the safari first before the lines get long. Then head over to Dino-Land, if they like dinosaurs.

For help with planning what to do at each park, you might consider getting the PassPorter book, available at your local book store. It has tentative schedules for first-timers at all the parks, and lists kid friendly and not-so-kid friendly attractions at each.

Also, make sure that you get to Disney's PhilharMagic at MK and Soarin' at EPCOT.
