Planners for 2009! It's far away but it's ok!

I hardly expect that anyone plans this far, but we do! We always start planning our trips before we leave for our current ones.

Me too! Don't know which months yet, but we just returned last month and are planning on going back in 2 years - probably sometime between February and April!

I was hoping I wasn't the only one planning a trip for 2009. We are going from Nov 25th to Dec 5th (I think it's the 5th) I don't have my calendar for 2009 right in front of me. I haven't booked it yet though. I think we will probably stay at POR. It will be me, DH, my mom, DS (who will be 10 at time of trip), DS (who will be 8 at time of trip) and DD (who will be 4 at time of trip). We will get two rooms next to each other so the kids can go visit my mom. Is it too early to book?

Our next trip is March 10-16, 2008 but after that the next one will be in August 2009. That one will be Mother/Daughter as my oldest dd turns 12 August 1, 2009 and I told her that for her 12th bday just she and I would go to WDW for like 4 or 5 days. It should be a lot of FUN!

It is. You can book room only 500 days in advance and packages for 2008 are not even out yet. They should be out sometime between now and August. For Nov 2009 if you are waiting on a package it would be sometime next summer. For room only just calculate back 500 days and you can book it then.

I am planning for Dec. 2009. We plan on having another baby in '08, so by Dec. '09, the baby should be old enough for her first Disney trip!

This will be a high school graduation trip for my niece. We are already planning! Don't know what month yet. I would rather go in Fall, but don't know if she will want to wait that long. She has not been to WDW since she was very small!

Potter land is supposed to open at the other theme park sometime in 2009. We might have to do a split stay.

We are planning for August of 2009.

I am a teacher so we have to go in the summer.

I am hoping for a 10 day visit so that we can tour slower than we have the past two trips, which were in Oct 2003 and May 2006, in hopes that we can deal with the heat and humidity.

I think August 6 to 15 will be just right

I am thinking May 2009. Probably POR, but I am researching all resorts I am interested in. I only planned for our 2006 trip for 6 months, so I am going to plan this next trip several times before it is set. I can't wait for the 500 day mark so I can book our room only. This will make it more official! It will be a large group and I am excited to have everyone there to see the magic! I am also going to start buying disney dollars for xmas and b-days for souvenier money.

We just got back on 6/18, but have already decided to go back in the summer of 2009. We stayed at CBR this past trip and really liked it there, so will probably stay there again. Thank goodness I'm not the only one planning this far in advance.

Well we have made the first change to our plans for the 2009 vacation

Instead of mid-August we will now be going the end of July into the first week of August. Not a big change I know and heck we can't even make reservations yet! None the less, it is just the first of what will probably many changes between now and 2009.

Plus, I can officially say just 2 years from now(July) we will be going to WDW!

We are planning for July '09. My dd's will be 7 & 4. I have "changed" resorts twice . I received the DVC BOOK today. Lots of information that I really should be reading, but I prefer to hang here .

Well I posted earlier about our 2009 trip being a Mom and Me trip with my dd when she turns 12 in August 2009. That still stands however last week with our dearest friends we decided we would, the four of us (2 couples), aim to do the WDW Half Marathon in January 2009! If I can get to where I can accomplish that it will be incredible. Being at WDW is quite the incentive though! That trip would be just a long weekend I think, 4 days maybe? and just the two of us (DH and I) with our friends. Kids would be sitting that one out home with one of the Grandmas.

we had an awesome trip this July, and last July - but sadly dh needs a break from the mouse for a year
we'll be going during February break (no more hot July trips for us)
we also want to try somewhere differant to stay, still planning that part
