Planner Swap- Progress Thread- Mailed back to you- post as they arrive

Been working on this today and just thought I'd get some opinions - there's something annoying me about it and I cant put my finger on what so any comments are welcome!

I love it Jayne!

How about smaller letters that go straight across or down and Bambi needs a butterfly on his nose. Isn't that a scene in the movie?

Thanks for the comments guys!

I like the butterfly idea so changed that side:

I've just left the otherside as it is in the first picture.

Jayne- you did a beautiful job with Bambi. Just make sure that you have a full 1/2 inch that is only 1 or 2 layers of paper on the inside edge so that the book can be bound.

I have now sent the email to all but one person (who has not pmed me yet). If you only sent your email address by pm and have not been in an address card swap then I need your other information as well. If you have sent it to me in the last 2 months for anoither swap I will still have it any earlier than that and I may very well not have it and may lose it when the pms are cleaned out at the end of next month.

Thanks,
Rebecca

Love your pages Jayne - I won't be able to match that:worship:

Any views whether CM cardstock will be heavy enough?:confused3:confused3 I've got the perfect blue and yellow, but I may have to layer it over a neutral Bazzil base.

I don't know what the weight on the cardstock is- you just need to make sure it is not easily bent and you think it will hold up well. If you know that it is more than 60lb paper then it will definately hold up just fine. Otherwise maybe pm MickeyTeacher/Lisa(from CT) if she doesn't respond- they are CM consultants and would be able to give a better opinion than I as I don't have any CM cardstock- I only have a bit of the paper and stickers. If it is as thick as Stampin' Up cardstock it would be just fine.

Oh, Jayne, he's beautiful! The only thing I can suggest is making the month a patterned paper? (Maybe matted on the solid, if it's not thick enough). Perhaps some yellow butterfly paper (if you have access to it!).

Love it!

I thought of that but I just cant find any that matches really. Everything I;ve used is pastel colours and all the paper with the right kind of patterns seems to be really bright and just doesnt look right. I've got a lovely pastel parchment pink paper but again when I tried it, it just looked wrong. I'll def keep an eye out tho. The cream letters are the shadowed one anyway so it'll be easy enough to add some on top if I manage to find anything!

Thanks for the nice words everyone - I was a bit worried about it!

I don't have any Stampin' Up cardstock but I do have CTMH and its the same as that:thumbsup2

Mazda--I think it's probably okay. I even had DH compare the CM cardstock to a couple others (not the super heavy Bazzill) and he couldn't tell the difference, and quite frankly they feel almost the same to me ;)

Jayne, I LOVE that Bambi page!!!! If you want "April" to pop out a little more and can't find the right patterned paper to use, you could ink the edges of the letters to give them a little something extra or maybe add a couple of tiny butterflies amongst the letters. But, even if you leave it like it is, it's awesome!! I love it!

I always have trouble finding a "good" yellow. It's great the way it is though, I love Bambi!

Jayne the page looks great!! The butterfly really finishes the page off.

I have my ideas laid out in my head, I just need to get them down on paper then start pulling supplies.

Thanks!:thumbsup2 If I have to order bazzill online I tend to go a bit  :rotfl2:

Lol, I definitely bought posterboard. Lots of colors, very sturdy. Not great for photos, but perfect for planners!
