Hi,
Has anyone ate at Planet Hollywood in DTD, was their food good???I heard some bad reviews from friends.....How far away is Planet Hollywood from DisneyQuest????Like is it a short walk or not....Trying to stay in walking distance....
Thanks

I seem to hear a lot of bad reviews on PH, however we have eaten there in 95, 98, and just this past August, and we have always had a good meal there. In fact this last time it was great. I had the LA Lasagna which was excellent and DH had the chicken, broccoli & pasta dish which was very good too, but the pasta could have been cooked for maybe 1 more minute. The kids had pizza which was typical kids meal pizza. Our neighbors were with us and when they first saw the menu they thought it looked a little over priced. By the time they finished the meal they thought it was well worth the price. I cant remember all they had(their kids eat adult food) but I want to say they shared a fajita, surf & turf, salad, and something else.
We were all very pleased, and my family is planning to go back again in July.

And Im not sure where Disney Quest was, but we walked to PH from the Marketplace, so I would guess since DQ is in the West Side it would all be in walking distance.

We ate in Planet Hollywood last Nov. the food was OK nothing to rave about and not terrible either. We expected to get a light lunch but the portions were large so we ended up cancelling our dinner reservations. But we really felt that the food was very expensive for what wer ordered. It is in walking distance of Disney Quest, we went there after we ate.

We eat at Planet Hollywood during each trip and really enjoy the food. And yes it is within walking distance of DQ.

Planet Hollywood is one of the worse rated restaurants at WDW. A relative of mine used to be the eastern regional manager of the restaurants, went with him, got the best treatment and food possible there. I would not go back with him a few days later, the food was free, but I could only take that place once. No thank you.

We ate here in June. The food was okay, but nothing special. There is a huge amount of stuff to look at here, but the place is so loud, it ruined the experience for me. I know a lot of WDW restaurants can get pretty loud, but this one was the absolute worst IMO. DH and I could not talk at all. I kept wanting to comment on the cool stuff I saw, but it was just way too loud.

DH and I like PH. We eat there everytime. The food is similar to all of those chain restaurants, but the have great burgers and fries. We also like to go there because it is less than a lot of restaurants around WDW. We eat a lot of expensive meals and sometimes we don't feel llike paying $70 for supper.:earsgirl:

Would not reccommend this resturant, some of the worst food and service at Disney. Would enjoy McDonald's before going back to this place. We have been their 3 to 4 times, the same all times.

You can walk from PH to Disneyquest in less than 5 minutes. Just ate there on thursday and food was ok

The food here is comprable to other moderately priced chain restraunts (think the 99's, Chilis, Unos, Hard Rock Cafe). I like it. It's not fancy and I hate fancy so that's good.

The atmosphere can be loud with the music but you shoudl be able to converse with the people at your table unless you are hard of hearing. I have a hard time with my hearing sometimes, and so this is a little annoying for me.

The stuff to look at is very neat. I like the atmosphere. However, if the food and noise does not appealt o you, I'm sure they would let you walk through to look at the movie memorabilia.

Have fun!

We've eaten there several times, the last being 11/02. The food is pretty decent, as long as you stay with the basics (sandwiches, burgers, salads, pasta). It's similar to the TGI Fridays/Chili's class of chain restaurants, although somewhat more expensive, no doubt owing to the location.

The movie memorabilia lining the walls is great if you are into that kind of thing. It's loud, but not so loud you can't talk. Not the place for a romantic dinner though.

The food was ok, overpriced, but that is expected. The service was horrible. They were not very "Disney". The service alone would make me not want to return
