Can anyone tell me about Planet Hollywood? My son is very keen to go whilst we are in Orlando. Will I need to make a priority reservation, what are the prices like, quality of food etc?
Many thanks.

We skipped the one in Orlando, but were very much not impressed by the one in Dallas. The atmosphere and movie memorabilia is good, but the food wasn't.

It's very noisy and has burgers, nothing that I thought was remarkable. There is lots of memorabilia, reminds me of Hard Rock a bit. I don't know if you can do this from the UK, but www.floridaorlandotickets.net has a good combo ticket package if you were planning on visiting either DisneyQuest or Pleasure Island. Pixie dust!

We tend to go early (between 5 and 6 pm) to avoid the long lines.

Hi! We took our son to Planet Hollywood when he was nine. He loved it. He did not care about the food quality. He did not care about the wait to get in. (It was pretty short.) He just loved the theme of this restaurant. It was pretty busy, but he did not mind.
We hardly ever go out to eat. When we go to Disney we do not care about the taste of food, we just want the experience. (Because we live in the sticks!)

Anyhow, even though I am not sure how old your child is, why not take him there? If he has requested to go, why not indulge him? As long as you have a good time, just enjoy yourselves.
I am sure that something on the menu will appeal to everyone.

My son, who is now thirteen, still wants to go there. (And we have done that.) He is attracted to the globe theme. Even if this place does not meet adult standards for eating, why not do what your child would like?

Just my two cents.

I wish you the best!
Take care!

Jennifer

I've been to a couple different Planet Hollywoods - the food has never been that great. It's o.k. but nothing to rave about. We go on occasion to check out the all the memorabillia - that's the only reason to go - IMHO!:D
