Planet Hollywood... Really?

I didn't realize that Planet Hollywood at DTD was such a popular dinner spot. We have a trip coming in Sept and we tried to see if we could book an ADR at Planet Hollywood for dinner, and nothing was available for any of the days that we would want to have dinner there. Very surprising.

We have never had dinner there only lunch or late lunch and it was never really busy. We like to use the $15 voucher we get with the trip.

Oh well, we'll play it by ear, check the online dining to see if anything opens up, but if we can't get to eat at PH, no biggie. Still just surprised it that's popular at dinner....

I doubt it is booked up. They only take reservations for certain times and I may have it backwards but I think it is lunch and dinner is only walk-up (it may be the other way around :confused3).

Yeah, I doubt it is booked up as well, but who knows. We'll still try walking up when we are there to see what happens. Maybe we'll get lucky. ;)

According to parts of the thread below, Planet Hollywood no longer accepts ADR's/reservations 5pm or later. If you really wanted an ADR, the latest one would be 4:45pm. Then again, later on, it seemed people were able to still make normal ones...

I played around with the online ADR system and this appears to be true (I doubt the place is so popular that dinner would be booked 2 hours into the 180-day window).

I would try calling the dining line or the restaurant directly.

Sometimes with the non Disney restaurants calling the restaurant directly is better.

That's definitely an option we can try. But I do agree with everyone that it's doubtful that PH is booked EVERY night. Especially after reading other threads. We'll most likely just walk up and see what happens when we get there. popcorn::

I have a reservation this August for 5:45pm, however last August when we were there I was told they took walk ups for dinner and we were able to walk up at 5:15pm and were seated within 10 minutes.

They took walk ups daily starting around 5pm.

HTH!:goodvibes

I had the same problem, so I tried calling & they said that they don't take reservations over the phone, unless it's a large group. They aren't booked, but they were tired of people making reservations & not showing up. If you're a Visa user, you may also find this helpful: http://planethollywoodintl.com/partners/VisaProgram_2008-2009/ . Don't know if you can use it w/ the $15.

It says not valid with any other discount or voucher. I will say, however, that I once had two $15 vouchers (long story), and the server simply split the ticket into two orders

The restaurant definitely isn't full. I suggest just showing up one night without a reservation. I suspect you will have little trouble securing a table.

Well, I called PH directly tonight and per the recording it states to make a priority seating reservation to call the WDW dining number 24 hrs in advance. Well, I guess I'll either do that or just walk up when we get there.

I agree...we've always just walked up and have gotten a table no problem. Even at the busiest times of year, we've never waited more than 20 mins. for a table.

We aso tried to get an ADR the very first day i could 180+10, they said the schedule is only open to book until 4pm everyday! I went thru calling the resturant and they told me the same...hope this helps!! We are going the week of the 17-25th of Sept. They also said the schedule may open for ADRs depending on the release of the DDP and bookings!

I booked an ADR for Planet Hollywood and it had to be 4:45 or earlier (good more Disney Quest time!) and we are only 90 days out !

If you take the WDW buses which DTD stop would you exit? Can anyone comment on how long a trip this would be from the AllStars resorts?

See you there, we're going 09/17-09/26.;)

I keep checking the online reservation system and the only times that show up are until 4pm and I had one show up for 10pm. That's it. I will probably call the day before and just keep checking online here and there. But I doubt I would have any issues just walking up either. No worries.

We've always made ADRs for dinner at PH in the past... and actually, usually was pretty tough getting something between 5 and 8:30.
But now planning a Sept/Oct trip and our arrival day we want to get checked in, then off to PH for about 8, 8:30 and nope, can't make an ADR.

We have two weeks we're deciding between... last of Sept, or first of October. Am wondering how bad it will be when free dining is still going on the end of september getting a walkup? My daughter's favorite restaurant, and after traveling with three little ones all day... sure don't want tohave to wait around forever for a table. Think it will be tough with free dining going on?

Call them in the morning or even the day before I bet you'll get something or simply walk up day of... especially if you got a hour to kill or you're patient.

It is really popular though and does get crowded, so expect a wait if you go during a peak time.
