Planet Hollywood question

We will be on the ddp plan with a 9 yr old.

If we go to planet hollywood for dinner, can we use two ts meals for us, and since the 9 yr old loves steak, could we use the $15 package promo that disney gives us to pay for a meal ??

This way, the out of pocket would only be a few bucks for 3 adult meals....

I also have a 9 year old and have been trying to figure out how we could use our $15 gift voucher with the meal plan. I was thinking an appetizer or something. But from what I am reading, it looks like you cannot use it in any way in conjunction with the meal plan. So, I think what we will do is either go early and sit at the bar and have an appetizer to use the voucher or after the meal order an appetizer or dessert to go.

You get a Planet Hollywood merchandise voucher (that is usually for a PH key chain), then you also get a Planet Hollywood $15.00 meal voucher. I've gotten several of these over the last few years. The newest ones say clearly on the voucher that they 'cannot be used in conjunction with any other promotion, including the DDP.' They also now state that they must be used during your current trip and have the dates on them. Used to, you could bring them back on another trip (as long as they were used prior to Dec 31st of the current year). They work well for solo travelers, but not so good for families.

So we could just go for a snack/lunch and get a few apps to split and drinks to use the voucher as a break from walking around.....would our 9 yr old be allowed to sit in the bar area if a table was not available ??

I am thinking of going to Planet Hollywood for DD BD, have never been but have done the others (for her bd) that we wanted, only one I liked was Chef Mickey's (which she wants to do again) but I think I have convinced her to try Planet Hollywood as that is my maiden name...lol so she thinks that is so cool!! Anyway do they have BD desserts there? Thought maybe I could use the $15. for her cake/dessert. We have a BD party with her friends before we go.

We used our voucher last time to get an appetizer before going to La Nouba. Just a thought in case you are going to be in area for something else.

We are splitting our stay between 2 resorts - first week DDP (and the one which qualifies for the voucher) and 2nd week not (via DVC). Does the voucher have precise dates - we were hoping to use the voucher a couple of days into our 2nd stay (when we are paying for our meals?) I was hoping that the voucher might be good, say, to the end of the month.
