Oh my goodness...

Has no one had a good experience with this rest.?

We have ADR's made here. Just because the voucher came with our package, and thought, that this would be one less OOP meal we would have to pay for. (yes my hubby is cheap). :rotfl2:

Maybe I can talk him out of eating here, if he reads these reviews.

i am worried also- DH and i were going to use our voucher- but i was not going to waste 1 TS credit for the 2nd meal since the voucer is good for only 1. we are using our TS credits for breakfast that morning and going to PH later in the evening (for a lite bite) before going to adventurers club-- hopefully it is still there when we go in sept! ......

i am not sure if i should even waste my time with PH-- even WITH the voucher!

We were there in December and had great service. The only problem we had, (if you want to call it a problem), she only took 2 credits for our dinner instead of 4. Due to this error we were able to split another TS meal later in our trip.

Definitely does NOT sound like a problem to me! :thumbsup2

We ate at the one in Cancun and it was alright. It was a little loud, but no worse than a Hard Rock. We had a truly delicious dessert and a pretty good pasta.

We go to the one in Vegas every time we visit, and have ADR's for the one at DDT in a couple of weeks. We have always had a good meal (but yes, it is loud in there) and good service at the Vegas location.

That said...we cannot stand Rainforest Cafe! We've been to one here in Denver (since closed), Vegas and DTD in Disneyland. We have never had good food or service and will never go to another.

Ahhh the Hard Rock and Rain Forest. Yet two more I am grateful to have in my home town so that I never get suckered into going into them and ruining a vacation elsewhere.

:goodvibes Just got back last week used the voucher they gave me. I had one the best mushroom swiss burger ever. I had no wait (11:30AM) and my server was gr8. :thumbsup2 Burger with fries and drink $0.00

justlikeeyore, can i ask you what the actual choices were when using the voucher?? i heard they were very limited.

sounds like you picked a great time to go--- and when a meal is free...it tastes just a little bit better! :goodvibes

I guess I am going against the gang and say we really enjoyed it when we where there last year! Our wait wasn't too long, my kids enjoyed the movie things and the food was served hot and fast! We may go back this trip if we have the time. The Rainforest is another story. Our service was so bad, even our kids said they will never set foot in one again.

The way I look at it is that a few years ago you had to wait 2 hours to get into the door... and now they're giving away FREE vouchers to everyone?! Looks to me like they're getting desperate for customers- another reason I wouldn't go back.

I was thinking the same thing. They have had to resort to giving away food. That speaks volumes, IMO.

Wow-we had a good meal and really good service the night we went. Our reservation was last Monday night at 5:00 & we sat right down...hardly a soul there at that time so I guess the noise level was a bit reduced. They played 80's videos which DH & I enjoyed! From there, we went to HOB to watch the Train concert. Now there's a good band! whew :goodvibes

Oh no! You ate at PH instead of HOB!?

I'm with ya on the RFC. That's another bad one, though we have had good luck at the Vegas location for breakfast.

I am convinced we are not going. More bad than good reviews, so that tells me something. I think we will go to HOB instead. It seems like a lot of people enjoy it. Do they take ADRs? I agree with the other posters on the RFC YUCK! We ate at the one in Nashville twice. Not going to be going to any for a third time.

We had one here and it closed down - the locals KNEW to stay away and it went under! Ate there at WDW once because we had gift certificates and it was a horrible exp... actually worse then the local one we had, which takes talent!

We have a Rainforest, too. Again - huge tourist trap. I don't eat at it here (tourists do) so why would I eat there on vacation? No thanks!

Sorry you had such a bad meal; I still wonder why they stay in business (?)

In answer to your question: OUr voucher says:

any burger platter
Ceasar Salad
Pasta Pomodoro

I will probably eat the Ceasar Salad, and let the rest of my family order from the menu...Hope they can't screw up a Ceasar Salad. Maybe we will have some pixie dust sprinkled on us, and have a good experience here. Hope so.

thanks for your help.....

actually i am a vegetarian-- maybe DH can get the burger and i will get an appy and a regular salad??

i guess we will see how things go-- maybe we wont even make it there......which might be a good thing.......

We just ate there two weeks ago and I have to say - It was terrific! We got seated right away and our server was great. My husband drinks a lot of coke and the server was always one step ahead of my DH with drinks. That is very rare for us. Our food was excellent and probably the best value all week. I had the roast beef sandwich and DH had a burger. Our DS's split a kids chicken meal - (the server made sure we had four pieces of chicken instead of 3). This restaurant is definitely noisy with the music videos, but that is part of the cool atmosphere. We have eaten here before and enjoyed it both times.

pinkminnie what time of the day were you there??

seems the earlier you go the better service you get.

We have been to PH almost every trip for several years. Always had a good experience at the DTD one. Food was always good, although I think we have had bad waitress once or twice which happens from time to time anywhere. DH likes the ribs. We plan on a return visit this July so I welcome any unwanted voucher my way. lol I'm sure if you contact them about your glass they will send you a new one. I have a collection of their glasses from all over.
