Planet Hollywood/GC Question

For those that have been to the PH at DD, do they have a gift shop, and can the GC's earned thru programs be used for food AND gifts????

I've not been to the PH at disney yet, but I would honestly thing anything that close to disney is going to have a gift shop.

My gc says on the front "This note can be redeemed for food, beverage, or merchandise at any Planet Hollywood in the US."
Then on the back it says "good for $25 USD value on food, beverage, meerchandise, tax, and gratuity. No exchange for cash."

So, it looks like we can use it for anything. It also doesn't have an experation date on it.

Yes, they do have a giftshop, and yes, you may use your GC there.
That's what we did this July, just bought items from the giftshop with our
GC.

That's what I am planning to do. Someone said that RFC had a gift shop, so whatever is left over from our gc's there, we will spend in the gift shop and plan to do the same with PH. I think, that will make our suvineir (sp??) money go a little further.

Do restaurants like Planet Hollywood and Rainforest Cafe give back cash if you don't use the entire amound of your GC (like a $50.00 one), or do they just deduct the amount you spend from the GC? Are the GCs cards or paper? TIA

My planet hollywood and RFC gift certificates are paper. I don't know if they give back change or not.

Just used a $25 RFC in Maryland last weekend for a $6 and change purchase and they gave me another GC for the $18 and change balance. The girl said they weren't allowed to give cash back anymore.

Thanks for letting us know! I am going to try to use all of mine up in disney, the closest RFC that I have is nashville, and I am not going to nashville to eat out LOL!
