This may be a strange question, but if we are staying on-site and can do rope drop with early entry, and if we buy the LL multipass and the LL for Rise, will there be enough to occupy us at DHS all day until Fantasmic at night? Assume also that we cannot go to any sit-down restaurants (dietary restrictions). We are only going to DHS this trip and nothing else, so park hopper is very pricey for 1 day for 5 of us.

You are not forced to spend all day at HS until Fantasmic. You are able to leave HS and return to your resort for pool time or visit any resort and enjoy lunch or dinner. You will be able to reenter HS at any point.

I'd say so. Hit up all the shows and some fun character meets. Since you will have LL, if you like an attraction, you can always hit up a second ride in the standby line. (Remember to book your first LL as close to opening as possible.)

But if you want a break, you could always take the Skyliner for an afternoon "excursion" and go see BoardWalk (esp if you have never seen it before). It's a fun ride!

Yes, if you do all the shows and take your time and enjoy the park itself. I know you said PH was out but have you priced the difference for Multipass and SP for Rise against a PH? You didn't say when you were going but I went to the Frog site (if you aren't using them your ticket prices might actually equal the PH option below) and picked a random day in April, a one day base ticket for HS is $182.27 a PH for that day is $250.52. A difference of $68.25. MP for HS right now ranges $21 to 35. SP for Rise is between 20 to 25. So at the lowest you are going to spend $41 per person for both passes. Could be as much as $60 per person. For $10 to $20 more (approx) per person you could get PH. Not saying you should, just giving you another option. Personally, even if you don't want PHs I'd probably skip the MP and only get the SP for Rise. Unless you are there at a really busy time, you should be able to hit all the rides in one day. You might not be able to do all the rides/shows/meet and greets and you will wait in some lines but there are tons of videos out there telling you how to do it. If you are there in the summer, there are longer hours and you shouldn't have any issues skipping MP.

Depends how many shows/character greets/shopping you want to do. You could always go back to your resort for swim/rest.
