Plan B Shaman at NRJ

Wow, I had no idea there was "screen" mode. That would be pretty disappointing.

This is how I felt with our recent "talking Mickey" experience.

It was just a regular M&G. No talking, no blinking. I felt bad for talking it up (Pun intended).

Wish they would have let me know before hand, as I would have used our FP a little later in hopes of getting the full experience.

Oh, man, I had no idea that was possible! Talking Mickey was a must-do on our trip last month, and we were able to get a FP and do it (line was 60 or more minutes all week). I would have been SO disappointed if he didn't talk!!

I was so underwhelmed by this ride even with the animatronic, I’m not sure a screen would make a difference to me.
If I got off that ride in B mode, and someone told me “no, there’s supposed to be a big moving blue guy instead of a screen with a blue guy” I’d say “oh okay” and still probably never go on it again.

I agree about underwhelmed. I wish there was a little something more to it than just riding through the Navi River. (Yes, I know that’s the theme.)

I feel the same way about the Frozen ride, although that at least has the same fast dip in it.

Pirates ride is also just a boat ride but it has more to it than just floating down a river. It even has the smells to go with the theme in some spots. It also has some excitement with the cannon ball fight and the roller coaster section with a splash.

I found Navi River somewhat boring the first time, but now I know so I just try to enjoy it as a tranquil ride. I just feel for what it is it’s not worth waiting on a long line. And it’s not worth using a FP for it as opposed to FoP.

I do enjoy seeing the shaman though. I think it’s very well done. (When it works.)

I hope they do more Avatar movies soon though because I feel like they made Pandora based on an old movie that I don’t watch very often. I don’t view it as a classic. Walking through Pandora would have been awesome when the movies first came out. Seems so long ago. The way they did the floating mountains is so clever. I felt something was missing though. I hope they have room to expand it in the future.

I do think this is a beautiful attraction, just way too short. I feel like it should be made into a restaurant experience - that would be amazing!

It comes and goes as needed. Could be up one ride, down the next. All in the same day.

This is why NRJ needs more animatronics though, that way if one goes down, the rest of the ride doesn't seem so barren. If the Shaman was on video, but you still got to see that cool Thanator growling at you, you'd probably feel okay about it.
