Plan Ahead with Lightning Lane Entry at Walt Disney World Starting July 24

Wow! That changes my strategy completely! The old system allowed us to save some extra time on the less busy rides with multiple uses. I know that waiting 15 minutes for small world is not a big deal but if I can re-ride with a walk on, that is 15 minutes that can be used waiting somewhere else.

You’re possibly thinking of the old FP+ system that ended in 2020? Attractions have only been allowed to be booked once/day since G+ was introduced and then the same carried forward with LLMP and LLSP.

Hello, I wanted to inquire about the current restrictions with booking lighting lanes that may overlap with dining reservations. How close to a dining reservation can you make a LL pass?

For example on our Hollywood studios day we have Hollywood and Vine at 10:20am. WIll I be able to book a LL at 9am and 10am, or will it block me from booking a 10am?

Similar for our Magic Kingdom day. We have Crystal Palace at 1030am and I'ld love to be able to book a 9am and 10am LL pass but I'm worried it won't let me.

Our LL window is a few weeks away so trying to plan ahead. Appreciate any recent experiences with booking.

Does anyone have experiences where you were able to book for the duration of your stay if it was a split stay? I saw the previous post from @thanxfornoticin that you can, but I heard conflicting information from cast members, saying you can book only for the duration of that specific reservation stay and must wait for the window to open for the next. TIA!

Yes, I did a split stay last month. One night at All Star Sports and then moved to Pop for 6 nights. I was able to book LLMP for the Pop portion 7 days out from my All Star stay.

LLMP and LLSP can be done the entire split stay. ADRs can only be done for each segment of the split stay. No idea why they have a different approach, but that's what we've seen

When booking at the 7 day out window for resort guests, I found that the app really limited what popped up for availability and I do blame it on what I had booked for ADRs. IMO it would make sense for the Disney algorithm to do this because it is designed to schedule your day and automate scheduling conflicts.
I also felt there was a bit of a learning curve once the day arrived to book my LLMPs and I actually don’t think there is a lot of help out there for how to effectively grab the best times for your visit - most of the YouTubers/influencers etc. just show you the mechanics of it. I think this is because things are really individual for each user that it is hard to actually address the best road map for everyone.
I do believe that the best thing you can do is put your MK and HS days later in your trip (which is hard for our group as we nostalgically do MK first) as you will have a lot more options for times - this is recommended here on the boards.
I also think knowing which ‘land’ you want to head to first at rope drop is really helpful and using that advantage to ride a top tier ride as standby (ie. Tron) but possibly having a burner ride (ie. Buzz) as your first choice for your first LLMP tap in (whether you ride it or not) close by because so many more options for my day seemed to open up as soon as we tapped into the first ride - I think most people here also recommend this. At this point on the day of, Disney doesn’t really pay as much attention to scheduling conflicts as things change around fast and furiously once in the park.

I went back a couple of pages, but couldn't find an answer (I'm sure these have been covered)...

1) Our check in June 15. Thinking getting LLMP for June 17 (HS) and June 18 (MK). We should be able to purchase on June 8 for both of those days and schedule on June 8 for both of those days? Or can we purchase earlier and schedule on the 8th?
2) If we schedule our first attraction for 9a-10a, but can't get to it on time (overslept), what's the best practice to schedule the "replacement"? Modify that attraction for another one later, then the 2nd one booked becomes the 1st? Yes, I know, "don't do it", but "hope for the best, plan for the worst".
3) At least four people (two couples) in our group are planning on LLMP for those same days/parks. I assume person A can book attractions for B, and not affect C & D. Safe assumption?

Yes if your check-in day is June 15th then you 7 days before is the 8th at 7 AM ET. Again if your check-in day is on a Sunday your 7 day window open on the Sunday before you check-in day.

If you know you are going to miss your earliest LLMP as soon as you know you will miss your return window. Modify it to another attraction. No the magic of unlocking your Tiers and park hopping happens when you tap in to any of your LLMP attractions. You don't have to keep thinking they move up in order.

Yes you can select from your Group on a person by person basis or all with the "Select All" button both at your initial purchase date, and any time you book replacement LLMP attractions. The individuals just need to all appear in your Family & Friends plan and be sharing plans.

Does this make sense?

Yes, thank you. I still miss the basic FP... show up at a park, go to a ride, get a FP with a return time related to what the standby line is. Go do whatever, and return. Nice, simple, doesn't require a lot of planning.

Adding to what Dave said, you cannot purchase LLMP earlier and then schedule the LLs when eligible. Purchasing and scheduling your first attraction(s) is part of the same process. You must schedule at least one attraction. You actually get to see your initial LLMP reservations [attraction(s) and time(s)] before you finalize the purchase. This allows you to cancel the purchase if you can't get what you want. If you can't get to your first scheduled LL reservation and choose to modify, you do not have to modify to another attraction. You can modify to the same attraction at a different time (at least you can if the LL reservation has not yet expired). Of course, that is subject to availability.

One more question: We have a reservation starting on 6/21. On that day we are going to a water park and mini golf, so I did not start my ticket date until 6/22. I should be able to book 7 days out from the 21st, correct? Thanks.

Yes you make advanced LLMP and/or LLSP selections 7 days before your resort stay start. It does not matter that your tickets don't start until 6/22. But just to be clear you can't purchase LLMP and/or LLSP for 6/21.

Your purchase window starts on June 14th at 7 AM, for your entire length of stay or a max of 14 days worth on or after June 21st (you don't have tickets for June 21st.)

You can book for the entire length of stay for LL but not the entire stay for ADRs. You have to book ADRs at 60+ for each reservation. Very annoying and confusing
