Plan Ahead with Lightning Lane Entry at Walt Disney World Starting July 24

I asked some version of this question before, but I'm not sure I understand so I'm asking again. Thanks for your help.

My first LLMP of the day is RNRC. I tried not to get this first, but TOT and TSM were out in the afternoon. I don't want to ride this, I don't want to go through the line.

After my group taps in, I cancel mine, will I be able to get Mickey Minnie Runaway Railway for all of us? I canceled a Tier 1, so I can still get a TIer 1 even though I haven't tapped in?

I still haven't tapped in because our next scheduled ride is 2 hours away, am I able to modify the times of my other rides? I just wouldn't be able to change my other rides to a second tier 1?

I feel like the easiest thing to do is just send my band through the line to get tapped in, but that just seems wrong.
Does someone want to ride RNRC twice? Is there a ride you would rather ride by yourself? If not you can simply cancel your LL right now and just carry 2 LLs. After they tap, yes you can go get MMRR or any other ride. You can also try to modify to an earlier time for your other LLs. We had success with this. Our ADR was causing issues, pushing times later than we wanted.

I was able to pre select the rides I wanted to prioritize with Genie, and they were at the top when booking LLMP.
Had you previously selected your priority rides under "My Day" for each park? Did you just choose one ride per park, and is that why they were at the top when booking LLMP? Thank you!

I should have clarified. We booked room only at both CBR and YC. One person in our party has a FL AP and I purchased 10 day hoppers from UT for the rest of us

What are your ticket validity dates? Disney says you need valid ticket media so it would reason (don’t think we have an actual DP on this yet) that the day at CBR needs to within the validity window of your 10 day tickets.

A couple of people here have mentioned that they called to have problems sorted out with MPLL's. My booking day is in two days and would really appreciate the number in case I need to call it after booking if we have any problems. If you have the number I would really appreciate you providing it for me.
TIA

so let's say I pay in advance the MLPP for Park A, and make my selections.

On the day of the visit, if I decide to go to park B instead, what happens? can I switch the selections to rides of the park B? If Yes, when can I do that? only on the day of the visit, after you tap in? anytime before you tap in?

if you can change, I assume nothing good will be left since I will be making the selections on the day of the visit?
anyone?

So with the Genie+ if you wanted to get lightening lanes in multiple parks you bought the genie + that was offered for MK and the other 3 parks….now do you need to buy separate multi-passes for each park or do you just buy the pass offered for the first park you visit and than that pass allows you to book lightening lanes when you hop to other parks?

The latter is true, but you don't have to wait until you enter the second park to start booking lightening lanes for it once you've used your first lightening lane in the first park. But availability in the second park, if that park is MK or HS for instance, may not be worth saving money by choosing the least expensive park as your first one.

Just to add a little detail to what @Violetspider stated. You can make your first additional selections as soon as you tap into your first attraction. You don't have to wait until you are off the attraction.k

ETA: still working on spelling...

Has anyone seen any reports about either of these scenarios?

(1) You have a date based park hopper ticket and do not require a park reservation. Can you make advance lightning lane selections in Magic Kingdom but scan in to Hollywood Studios in the morning before hopping to Magic Kingdom?

(2) You have non-date based park hopper tickets or an annual pass and you do require a park reservation. Can you have a park reservation in Hollywood Studios but make advance lightning lane selections in Magic Kingdom?
I think you can do 1 & 2

I have the same question but with different circumstances. Our first planned ride with LLMP has a height requirement. We have 2 sons: one tall enough, one not. We don’t want to utilize rider swap, nor do we want to book another LL simultaneously with me and the younger one. Can my husband and older son scan in, and I cancel myself during the window and then book our entire party for another LL?

The other option, is my husband scans my band in. (Probably fine- in this current scenario it’s Star Tours and Dinosaur) Or, there’s a chance my son would be willing to ride twice. Not sure.

We aren’t looking to take LL spots from others, just don’t want to have to constantly split up our family.

My kids are 5 and 2- for reference.

The "Modifying Your Whole Multi Pass" section of the following article seems to answer your first few questions: https://touringplans.com/blog/how-t...-disney-world-guide-faq-llmp-llsp/#whole-pass

You can change your park at any point until you enter your first park. As @mi*vida*loca stated if you change your park selection before entering the park you will be changed the difference the park you change to is priced higher. If the price would be lower there is no refund (credit).

It has been somewhat hit or miss but there have been several reports of guests making good use of the day of selections for changes or as addition selections. Most notable exceptions would be Tiana and Slinky but they do pop up.

We will need to wait until the park attendance picks up to know how availability holds up.

Even if the first LLMP you tap into is not a tier 1? So if you tap into tier 2, still have your original tier 1 for that night, you can keep booking more tier 1s, assuming they're available?
Yes even Tier 1 attractions. Once you tap into your first attraction, Tiers are gone and you can book any attraction except ones that you have already used a LLMP to ride.

When is your trip? I have to figure this out on Monday. If your trip is later and you still need an answer, feel free to send me a message to remind me to answer. RIght now, I'm going with giving my band to those who are riding.

Our date based tickets begin Aug 19; are you booking or arriving Monday?

I think that’s what I did. You could pick as many as you wanted, but I did 1-3 per park. The new system is easier to see all the rides quickly since there are no parades or meet and greets.
