Plan Ahead with Lightning Lane Entry at Walt Disney World Starting July 24

That's great but what are the prices for Wednesday, July 24th? I placed my bet for Wednesday anyone else want to play?

Dave
Okay, but the prices you listed for today were still incorrect.

You posted that AK was $16. Then you tried to claim your prices included tax. The price for AK today is $17- plus tax. 🤷‍♂️

This is definitely going to be costly. Then for the popular rides, you have to pay even more for the single LL! Insane!
It really depends your park strategy. Do you rope drop or arrive at a park at 10 AM. We tend to rope drop and leave a park by 1 PM for a break and then return after 4 PM to the same park or a different park. There are not that many attractions that will be a LLSP.

No I did not list the prices for "Today". You may have missed that...

We don't know but we fully expect it to debut at the same price(s) as the current Genie+ offering. That would make MK $29 per day for LLMP, Epcot $18, HS $22, and AK at $16. The pricing will adjust by Disney based on attendance periods. For example Christmas - New Years was $39 last year and Spring Break / Easter was also $39 for MK.

My post was in response to the post from @deedeew80 about an "estimate". My LLMP pricing was just that an estimate for launch on July 24th. See the section of the post that I quoted from @deedeew80 below...

Do we know how much this is going to cost yet? At lease an estimated price would be great.

Hi all, in an effort to confirm I understand the new plans for my trip this weekend (have read the 20 pages on the matter but still unsure)

-on the 24th, I can add the new LL multi pass plan to my booking on wdw site/app
-on the 24th I can also book/reserve 3 passes for both park days of my trip on 28/29th
-if park hopping, I can book 3 passes for my first park, but as soon as I scan into one I can book another for the park Im hopping to
-you can book one tier 1 and two tier 2, but after you scan into one ride, you can book any tier
-will you ever be able to hold more than 3 passes, or can you only have 3 max at a time?
-on a park day I can still try for a free VQ at 7/1:00

Many thanks!

I wonder if we need a separate question and answer thread for LLMPs. I guess that's what this thread is intended for, but it's gotten kind of unwieldy.

My main questions I'm hoping for answers to on Wednesday:
1. If you have split stay booked, can you buy LLMP for your entire trip at 7 days out from the first split?
2. Can you redeem a 2nd tier ride as your initial reservation, and then book a second 1st tier?
3. How much is it?
Disney has published very few details about how everything will work. Much of what people are saying can/cannot be done is currently based on speculation.

Once things are up and running we will work to get an ‘Everything LLMP/LLSP’ thread in place but we want to create that based on facts rather than speculation.

It will take time gather accurate information and find time to create. Once it is ready it will be pinned to the top of the board. Until then, this thread is a great place to keep the conversation and discussions going.

If staying onsite, on the 24th, you can buy LLMP and reserve three attractions per day for your days on the 28th and 29th, using the app only. It will not be available on the Disneyworld website. If staying offsite with dated tickets, you will have to wait until the 25th. Yes, if you book your three attractions for your first park, you will be able to book one for your second park after redeeming one at your first park. Yes, after you redeem one, you can book a replacement in either tier. It is not yet known whether you can replace a Tier 2 LL that has been cancelled or modified with one in Tier 1. It doesn't appear you can hold more than three LLMP passes at one time (not counting MEPs, a/k/a anytime passes), but there may be a loophole we haven't figured out yet. You can still try for VQs on park days. The LLMP/LLSP system operates separately from the VQ system.

Edit: I have assumed you will be in the U.S. or Canada when making the purchase. I have assumed that if you are staying offsite and have dated tickets that they cover both days and the start date is July 28. If the start date is before July 28, you can buy and book on the 24th. If you are staying offsite and have undated tickets or annual passes, you can buy and book for the 28th on the 25th and for the 29th on the 26th. It's three days before park visit for undated tickets and annual passes unless you have a resort stay also.

Will Disney ever make something simpler or just keep building on complexity? My last trip was in '19 and between ticket prices (I paid less for a 10 day park hopper plus ticket in '19 than my 3 day hopper for my upcoming trip), having to pay for an airport shuttle/uber or car rental, and now LLMP/LLSP with all the rules of when I can buy it, how much it could cost, when I can book things, what I can book (tiers), I'm overwhelmed. Oh and the concept of VQ is still very confusing and scares me - will I be living on my phone trying to get into queues?? It's like we're going back to E-tickets but now we have to pay hundreds of dollars to get through the front door and hope we are lucky enough to be given the chance to hand a few hundred dollars more over to get the coveted e-tickets.

At least the ADR stuff looks less crazy than in '19 when people would book 25 ADRs for a 5 day trip and then cancel 15 of them the day before :-).

This may be my last WDW trip, and I was seriously looking at DVC so I could go to WDW every other year for the rest of my life - WDW was truly my happy place, but I'm starting to dread my upcoming trip. Trying to decide whether LLMP is going to be worth all the extra $ given the complexity. Maybe I will just stand in the regular queues and chit chat with the masses and not have any goals/expectations on what I'll get to experience. Looking forward to seeing how it goes in the next few weeks. Good luck!!!

I was asking about a non-resort stay with an AP. I understand the early booking options when staying onsite. Just curious how it works with a ticket that isn't dated while staying at a non-WDW resort. It sounds like a park reservation might be the key. Of course, I've been kinda hoping the park reservations go away over the upcoming months!!
Like others have said park reservations are required but even if they weren’t, again it goes back to account linking. There were no reservations required in the FP+ era but the system still recognized APs for things like viewing resort discount availability and purchasing hard ticket events that are discounted for APs.

If you have an AP on your account you are flagged as a Passholder by the system, unless you have a resort reservation, in which case that supersedes it. The hypothetical offsite AP family will still be flagged as APs as long as their tickets are linked, regardless of where they’re staying.

Thank you for doing this. If I had a trip in the next few days/weeks, I'd be scared silly. I'm so glad I have a few months to learn.

To be fair to Disney, Lightning Lane Multi Pass is the same concept as FastPass+ (which is what you would have experienced in 2019) except it's paid and it's 7 or 3 days in advance depending on if you are onsite or offsite. Were you a FP+ user?

VQs will be no more than 60 seconds of your day - one drop at 7am and one drop at 1pm if you want to participate in those attractions.

Stupid question I am sure, but what the heck I'll ask anyway:

Will the ILL purchases be available to buy 7 days in advance also (if staying in Disney Resort) if we DON'T buy the Multi Pass?

If I understand correctly, LLMP is similar to Genie+ in that it's a separate purchase from the current ILLs. So yes, I'm almost certain you can buy either or both or neither with the new system.

Yes, based on these videos showing the new system, you select Multi Pass and Single Passes at the same time based on the date.

Nope.

I didn't miss anything. You said, "The current pricing is," and you were incorrect. So please just stop. It is just silly at this point.

Today's prices are $29, $21, $26, and $18. The reason the pricing trend is at all important is because the price has edged slightly up in the last few days, and that gives some indication of the pricing they hope to use, though it depends on how sales of G+ are going, and we don't have that information.

The pricing on Wednesday will probably be the same as today or a bit higher, even though the parks are not all that busy.
