We are leaving for the airport about 6 am. Are there any Mc Donalds or similar breakfast fare close to the Jetblue terminal in JFK (in NY)? We flew Delta Song last year, and there was an airport concession that had eggs, etc, but I would only eat a bagel with cream cheese from there. I would feel gastrically "safer" eating something I know my stomach can handle. So, near the Jetblue gate, what fast food or other eateries are available for breakfast that early? We can't pick it up on the way because we are taking car service to the airport, and our Mc D's only opens at 6 am. DD11 wants to buy breakfast the day before, and reheat the morning we leave. DH says "EWWW".

Hi Frann,

We will have the same problem as you, just a week later! Our car service is picking us at 5:30 a.m. for our 8:00 a.m. Jet Blue flight. My plan was to pick up bagels in the morning. The bagel stores around here open at 5:00 a.m.!

There are a couple of places to get breakfast in the Jet Blue terminal. I don't remember what my husband got for us to eat, I just remember we didn't like it and it was expensive.

Getting bagels before the car service arrives sounds like a great idea. I'm going to do that when we leave in 2 weeks (also at 5:30 AM Yikes!).

i went out of jfk on jet blue on an early morning flight back in october, and they gave us free food. there were tables set up, i know they had krispy kremes and juice/water, don't remember what else. don't know if they still do that, but it was a nice surprise.

We did not get any free food/water on our trip July 25.
There were many food courts. Don't be fooled by some of the names, Like the Asian Restaurant because they all serve breakfast. There was a large Dunkin Donut, pizza place that sold b'fast pizza. The Mexican place has b'fast burritos.
One word of caution, there is only ONE ladies restroom with just about 5 stalls. Go early, it took us close to 15 minutes of waiting in line.

have a great trip

We had free food from Jetblue my last flight too in March, while stuck in JFK. However, my plane was delayed almost 8 hrs due to a massive snow storm pounding the eastcoast. So I don't think it's the normal protcol.

However, there was a cafeteria style place right at the gate we were at and it was really inexpensive (for dinner anyhow). I was really pleased w/ the overall prices in the terminal. I do know it appeared there were several Jetblue Hubs because when we caught our connecting flight we almost missed it due to quite the hike from one terminal to another. Then when we were snowed in on our return trip, the free food was set up at another gate a decent walk away. Our Jetblue gate had all the shops and restaurants though-- so you may have to look around a bit. It is different than my hometown airport (Buffalo NY) or even the MCO one.

more than it would cost at a local Mc Donalds? If not, I can probably get a half dozen bagels for about 5. at a bagel shop near my house, and buy 1/2 lb of special cream cheese. There are 4 of us going, and we will probably have lunch around 12:30 at the AS Mo food court. Maybe I should buy the bagels the day before? Will they stay fresh and soft?
