I read online somewhere awhile back

A few places you can
supervise them while they safely run
around are:

The Waiting Area of the Enchanted Tiki
Room (Grab some pineapple frozen
yogurt and make sure you point out all
of the animatronic Tiki Gods and
Goddesses to your little guy/gal)

Pooh's Corner, behind the line for
Splash Mountain (This is especially nice
and quiet when the Pooh characters are
not performing, plus it is shady)

Chip n Dales Treehouse in Toontown
Goofy's Bounce House, Toontown
Mickey's House, Toontown
Donald's Boat, Toontown

It can be so packed you don't want to
let go of your little one for a second, so
a few places you can let them run
around can be really important if you
have an active toddler, like my Sam.

Does anyone have any other suggestions of places like this at disneyland?

It's not Disneyland, but CA has the Redwood Trail--a great place to run off steam.

Also, in CA, there is some boat with water features that is good for little ones. I think it is near the jellyfish ride in Pacific Wharf.

Also in DCA back in Bugs Land are some areas where little kids can run around a bit. That whole area is geared towards the younger set. Except for the Its Tough to be a Bug show. That can be very intense for little ones!

It's not Disneyland, but CA has the Redwood Trail--a great place to run off steam.

We really love this for our dd6 and dd4. Its a great place to get some exercise and get the wiggles out. Plus I love to climb the ropes too. Brings back childhood memories of a theme park I use to go to when I was little.

Don't they have to be a certain age (or height) for Redwood Trail? I'd love to let my boys run off steam in there (and I think I'd read that they're old/tall enough) but would *I* even be allowed in there with a baby (12 months old)?

Also in DCA is the water fountain area near/in Bug's Land iirc. We got the boys in there once and they were having so much fun jumping through sprinklers that they didn't want to leave. I swear we could have spent the whole day just in that section and they'd have not minded one bit.

Although Disneyland does list a height requirement on the website for the Redwood Trail, I'm pretty sure it only applies to the rock climbing wall at the back and a sort of zip-line thing. When we went last year my youngest son was 20 months, and there was plenty for him to do. The CM around the area had no problems with him going on the climbing structures, ropes, or even the big slide.

The height restriction only applies to a couple of the features inside the Redwood Creek Challenge Trail.

A few other places to hang out would be inside the Animation Building in DCA and the lobby of Disney's Grand Californian - the great hearth is a fantastic place for a nap too!

Please do go in there, it's great! Any kids can go in there, actually I love the Brother Bear show in there also and that is for all ages. Only the rock wall and the tire swings have age/height limits. All kids can do everything else back there. Here is me and DS last summer when he was 7 months old, having fun in the "stream", DD is above us!
