I assume all places in DTD. What about the Boardwalk? Any place else within the parks or resorts that is confirmed not to accept Disney GCs as payment?

Almost all of the restaurants at Disney Springs (and WDW in general) accept Disney Gift Cards - even ones that aren't Disney owned. They have special readers that can accept magic bands or gift cards as a third-party system. The non-Disney retail stores in Disney Springs generally do NOT take disney gift cards. I also think you can't use them anywhere in Swan or Dolphin.

Here is your work around for the Disney gift cards if you are staying onsite. Just pay with your wristband, getting charged back to your room, which you can do anywhere, pretty much, then go to the front desk and pay with your GC.

That's fine if you're staying onsite. We just always carry our Disney Visa just in case.

In December Trader Sam's was not accepting gift cards. Think there was a plan to change that. Skippers in the MK as well.

We are staying onsite the first 2 weeks, but will have the dining plan. I am trying to make plans for our 3rd week (non-park week) and we'll probably have a ton a Disney GCs left over. Would rather eat in DTD or at a resort than Applebees or somewhere, so I'm just trying to figure out where we can or cannot go without paying OOP so I can spend the GCs instead of cash.

You can't charge on magic bands at any restaurants in Swan or Dolphin.

We have used the GC at Capt. Grille and Yatchman's in the YC, Boatwright's at POR & the Cafe at GF.
Also ESPN Club and Big River on the Boardwalk.

Unless this has changed in the past week, both of these restaurants do accept Disney GC (along with Yak & Yeti) and have since at least 2012.
It is possible that poster was thinking of the Disney Reward card you get from having a Disney CC . I know we weren't sure who accepted it so we asked at Yacthman's our 1st time and since they took it used it there on all following trips.

You can use the rewards card at those locations as well. If you can use a GC, you can use the rewards card.

Thanks for this information. I have been collecting separate Rainforest Cafe GCs for our AK day because I didn't realize this.
