Hello all,

I was wondering if you guys could help me out a little?

In August my DBF and I are travelling to WDW for a week. We have booked the DDP, and are trying to shortlist places to eat. DBF definitely marches on his stomach :rotfl: so are planning to do mainly buffets.

Here's where I am so far: We have 7 TS credits to use

I'm definitely using 2 at Boma and the Whispering Canyon, as they are my favourite places to eat. I'd also like 1 character meal but can't decide between Chef Mickey's and Crystal Palace...

So, we have to pick 4 other places to eat. On my list so far I have:
Liberty Tree Tavern, Tusker House, Hollywood and Vine, Garden Grill,
Restaurant Marrakesh and Biergarten.

Are there any other places I should look at that would fill him up? We're open to any suggestions as long as there's plenty of food involved ;)

Thanks
Milia

For your first question, I feel the food at Crystal Palace is much better than Chef Mickey's, so I would pick that.

I would say a big NO to Marrakesh (we really didn't like it there). Another buffet option that was really good was 1900 Park Fare. Also, not a buffet, but we loved Chefs de France. I would also suggest Kona or Ohana.

I would skip Hollywood and Vine and try to add in O'Hana.

For the character meal we prefer Chef Mickey's over Crystal Palace but both are decent.

Definitely O'hana - scratch Liberty Tree Tavern. Been there twice and haven't had a decent meal yet. Really enjoyed Crystal Palace, and I agree with you on Boma! We also liked the breakfast in AK when it was at the Restaurantosaurus, the Tusker House is probably the same. Are you planning on doing breakfast buffets as well, or are you just looking for dinner? Don;t avoid the breakfast just because there are characters there - the food is really good!

I would say Ohana is great, and you already have Boma, which is my favorite. Are you having Boma for dinner? If you haven't tried breakfast there, I would recommend that as well--it is fantastic. Also, Tusker House has a great breakfast, although it does have characters. I am planning on trying Biergarten in June, as I have heard great things about the food there. Another good buffet is Cape May Cafe Clam bake at Beach Club. Don't let the name fool you--it definitely isn't a seafood only buffet. It is an easy walk from Epcot, or you can walk/boat from HS. I wouldn't recommend Hollywood and Dine at all.
