Like a lot of others, I'm anxiously awaiting the 2017 European itineraries. I know in 2016 there were some black out dates on European cruises. Since we bought two placeholders to use in Europe, I'm wondering when (and if) Disney will announce black out dates for cruises. In 2016, did they wait until the cruises were announced to say which cruises wouldn't be included?

It's so silly! They announce the sailings and I can book the next day. To which I'll drive myself insane trying to get through and book my first choice, and then find out that my future booking credit is invalid.

I understand getting the 10% off is more beneficial but don't forget the $100 or $200 OBC still applies for the blacked out sailings so it's better than nothing. That's based on how it is now so of course let's hope that doesn't change.

You can use a future cruise credit on a blackout date. You don't get the 10% discount, but you get the onboard credit, which is something. And if you end up deciding to move it later to a non-blackout date you'll get the 10% discount back.

As near as I can tell, most cruise lines only give you onboard credit for a future cruise booking; Disney is the only one with an actual discount.

Well, I'm hoping for early June. In 2016 that was eligible for the discount. We'll see!
