We love watching the fireworks from the Gaston’s Tavern fountain. You won’t see the castle projections but it’s a great place to see the rear fireworks, and it is almost always nearly empty. There are even seats available if you need them and a great and not usually too crowded bathroom. We want to try to stay away from the Main Street crowds.
Where is a good place to watch the fireworks that is not crowded?
Yes I remember the tables with the yellow umbrellas. I’m not sure I want to get there 2 hours early, but that would be an awesome place and being able to sit would be nice.We watched from the tables in front of The Plaza, the ones with the yellow and white umbrellas. We got there almost two hours before HEA, but it was a great view, we could sit, and it wasn’t wall to wall people.

Edit: My wife is currently scolding me that by posting this our secret awesome location will now get out and be crowded next time we are there.
Please stop telling people about this great spot.If you want to see the projections, the garden area in front of Casey's. It's not near as crowded as the other areas with a full view of the castle.
I’m not sure where the bridge is?Those are my favorite, never crowded bathrooms. It's a great little area, hadn't thought about fireworks from there.
I can't remember which thread it eas in but someone posted yesterday about watching from the bridge at splash. You can see the projections fairly well from the pics they posted

Oh okay.Where the drop is.
Oh we stayed at the Polynesian a couple times and yes it is nice watching from the beach. One of my favorite memories of staying there. We don’t plan to leave the park though. If you are okay with leaving the park, not seeing the projections, and barely hearing the music (aka really just seeing the fireworks) I like watching from the Polynesian resort. There is the "main" beach by the volcano pool which I think is reserved for resort guests, but there is a usually pretty quiet beach near the Spirit of Aloha show building on the other side of the marina. Last time I was there, there were a few lounge chairs set up, and while there were a few people watching it was far less crowded than Main Street. You can easily pick up dinner or some snacks from Capt Cooks and picnic on the beach while watching the show. Like I mentioned, the music isn't pumped in but you can sometimes hear it echo across the lake. And as an added bonus, it looks really cool to see the fireworks reflected in the water. It's been a few years and in the past this area was open to everyone, so please correct me if this is no longer an option.
