Looking to stay the whole week but Fri & sat off disney. Do you know of any hotels that are good? found hilton head hotel & suites 3 stars or 2 1/2 stras . Room rate are great from $40 a night to $80 a night. just nead a place to stay. We will enjoy Disney resort all day on Friday the at night go to new resort so it will only be to sleep. this resort looks close to beach. If you have any info it would help. Nead 2 rooms would like to pay less then $100 a night per room. Thank you all.

We were less than impressed last summer at the Red Roof Inn which is a hop, skip and a jump from the DVC location. It was not all that clean. My son was met in the hallway by a huge cockroach -- not a Palmetto bug, but a cockroach who waiting for him to return after coming back down to the office to tell me about it. Strange, because it was daylight when we checked in and I always thought they were more prominent at night. The hotel was older, beds were terrible and we couldn't wait to leave in the morning. :scared:

So much so, that we originally planned to stay there the following Saturday night but chose to pay cash for our second Saturday at DVC rather than return for a second stay there.

We have yet to decide what we are doing this year so I'm also curious about the replies to your thread.

Also interested in recommendations! My dh just decided we should drive down a day earlier-need to make a reservation somewhere. Thanks!

There's a good Westin on Port Royal Plantation, or try the crown Plaza on Shipyard plantation.

Have you considered paying cash for Disney's HH? I just made reservations for Christmas, and I did not have quite enough "home resort" points to secure the last night at the 11 month window. I was; however, able to secure a room via cash--a one-bedroom for $116.00! I thought that was a pretty good deal for a Friday night!

Have you thought about using Priceline? I was browsing www.biddingfortravel.com and saw that people are getting great deals at Hilton Head. The website I mentioned is a site where people post their Priceline deals. I think you can get a resort for under $100 a night.

If you would pay a max of $200 for two rooms what about just continuing to stay on at Disney. Of course you don't say when you are going...that makes a big difference.

This month a one bedroom is $155, next month $225, April $380, Memorial Wkend, $205, June $380. These are prices I picked off of Travelocity. If you are a member the price might be higher for the lowest amounts but otherwise mostly lower if you call MS for a reservation.

We will be there Aug 6-11 need room for 11, 12 We have 8 people so 2 bed room is what we need it like $700 a night.

We are going down to HH in 2 weeks and didn't want to use points to stay a Sat night so I researched biddingfortravel and then bid on Priceline and got the Westin for $64 for Sat night!! Keep in mind it is in March but definetly worth checking out. Also there is a nice and almost new Hilton Garden Inn in Bluffton just before you cross over to HH, not beachfront but will be cheaper than the ocean front resorts. We have stayed at the Hilton Oceanfront Resort and we're really pleased with it...beachfront, huge, newly remodeled rooms with mini kitchens. Have a great trip!! :wave2:
