Place to get refills on water

Yep! My favorite place is at the Baby Center or First Aid just at the end of Main Street. They have free cold filtered water and all you have to do is ask if you can refill your bottles. The ladies in both places are very sweet!

Also, you can refill at soda stations at Rancho de Zocalo and Pizza Port in DL (there is a water spigot under the Sprite). In DCA it's a little tougher, but I have refilled at White Water Snacks. I think Taste Pilots might have a soda refill station as well.

Also, if you forget your bottle for whatever reason... I have never had a problem getting a cup (sometimes big, sometimes small) of ice water from any counter service restaurant... no charge.

This was one of my favorite tips I used on our last trip. The ladies in the Baby Center got so they recognized us last time we went because we stopped by several times each day. Our next trip I won't have any children with me but I still plan to stop in and get the nice, cold, water. :drinking:

They are required by California state law to provide free cups of water upon request, this has been confirmed many times by guest relations, they are also required to give you the smallest size above a child size, if you request it. If they try to refuse, simply point this fact out and that guest relations has confirmed it, they change their mind real fast. Many will give you the new larger cups as well, just always ask for a large cup of water. Please note that under California law the soda machines water must be filtered, please note that regular water is usually under iced tea or lemonade, the one under sprite would be carbonated, but now there are so few self service machines that you shouldn't need to worry about it too much.

Thanks cmwade77 for the thorough response! It's totally going on my tip list!

I especially like the Rancho de Zocalo spot because they have water outside in the dining area. And it is more central to the overall park. We usually pop inside though and fill our bottles with ice and then get the cold water in the outside dining area.

These are great TIPS! Thanks to the op for asking this question!!!!!!!!!:thumbsup2

On top of the above mentioned you really can't walk very far in either park without running into a water fountain, which from my experience at least has always had cold water;)

Call me old fashioned... but I fill up at the water fountains. It is good to know about the first aid station through.

I was just going to ask this question! Thanks to the OP for asking it first!

I was just wondering if the water in the water fountain is filtered to get rid of the bad taste.

Last time I was there the water from the drinking fountains had a funky flavor. I could be picky but it tasted weird to me.

Water fountain water is not filtered, and I'm always a bit worried about how many mouths have touched that spout. (no flames, I'm not a germaphobe, really!)

We always carry water and soda so ice was all we needed to really fight the heat last week of august 2009.

While it is true that there are legal mandates to it, providing complimentary cups of water is a long-standing tradition of Walt Disney Parks and Resorts that stretches back to the opening of Disneyland Park in 1955.

At that time, a Plumber Strike caused Walt Disney to have to choose between having water fountains or working toilets...it should be obvious which one was chosen. To compensate for this, Cast Members distributed complimentary cups of water to Guests toiling in the Southern Californian summer heat.

Since then, distributing complimentary cups of water (in containers that are actually drinkable) has been one of many hallmarks of the Legendary Guest Service that our Guests have to come to expect from Disney Parks.

(I knew that class on Company History would be good for something :D:)
