Place in pyramid in Epcot to eat lunch

Is there a place in the pyramid where you're allowed to eat your own food? It looks very neat, but we'll be bringing our own food for lunch.

By pyramid do you mean the Mexico pavilion? The restaurant area is for people eating at the restaurant. There are (or at least were) a few benches in the pavilion entry area that I can recall, but that's about it. You may be able to use a table outside at the CS location depending on the crowds, but there are no tables inside meant for use by people not eating at the TS restaurant.

There is no picnicing inside the Mexican pavilion. As PP stated, any tables and chairs are either for the TS restaurant or in the Tequila bar. In general, Disney does not have picnic facilities per se. That area of Epcot is especially congested.

I wouldn't count on finding a table at the outside CS location in Mexico either. The last two times we've gotten food from there, we've ended up standing along the wall along the lagoon to eat because the tables were all full.

Thanks for your answers! So it looks like I'll have to find a different place for us to eat.

Most people that bring their own food picnic over on the grass by Ellen's energy ride. There's a big open grass area that you can sit on to eat. If you're looking for indoor area there's some tables and chairs inside the innoventions area closest to Soarin

Greed great place to cool off. You probably could go inside the land I don't think disney has a problem with using the seating in the food court area it indoor btw

If "Pyramid" = the glass pyramid above Imagination, the answer is also no... unless such seating is offered upstairs in the DVC lounge (I'm not sure) and you're a DVC member.

I would also recommend the food court in tthe Land pavilion- you can set out a giant spread and nobody will bat an eye. You can also go into the food court area and get everyone free cups of ice water.

The Land Pavilion... sounds like an awesome idea. I'll check it out! Thank you everyone.

When I was there last October, they had benches inside where you could sit and eat right down by the "street market" area of the Mexico Pavilion. No tables, but if you venture outside, there are tables over by La Cantina de San Angel you can sit at! Have fun! Mexico is one of my favorite pavilions!

Having been there when it's difficult to find seating, I would bat an eye at people setting up a giant spread without buying any food. Perhaps they've increased seating since then.

On the other hand, I don't remember ever seeing the Electric Umbrella full.

I would never take a table at a seating area where the tables were needed for customers. I grew up in California and we went to Disneyland once a year. There's a picnic area right outside the gates that we used to use. Obviously, theme parks aren't required to provide picnic areas, but it sure is nice!

It was the "lay out a giant spread on the QS tables & then go get everyone some free ice water" that raised eyebrows, not the water itself.
Partly, but for me it was just the "giant spread" at a QS restaurant that in my experience can be very difficult to find tables. Which is why I suggested a different, nearby restaurant that in my experience usually has table space. Though it's been fifteen years, so my experience could be very outdated.
