Ok, so I have lurked in the wedding area long enough, I may as well get out all my plans and ideas to the wonderful Brides here. I am not a Disney Bride, but our theme is "Happily Ever After" and our lives have been a real fairytale!
Thanks for letting me house my thoughts and stuff here. I am going to be planning this with the help of my reception sites Wedding Coordinator, but there still feels like there is so much to do. And I feel a bit overwhelmed.
About us:
DF
: Frank (38) -Graphic Designer- Before we were dating we were good friends. He had an extremely rare form of cancer about 5 years ago and was not expected to live. He survived, we met, became friends, and fell in love.
Me:
Tracey (26) - Paralegal - I am a fan of fairytales. I always hoped to meet my Prince Charming. I found him when I least expected it.
The Proposal
So last night we decided to take our date night to Nantasket Beach, because the weather guy said it is the best night of the week. We head down, chit chating about the week and our busyiness. We got there and decided on a resturant, the Red Parrot, and had a great meal.
Then we headed for the carousel that they had there. It was awesome and was painted beautifully. It dated back to the early 1900's. They even had the carousel music playing. It was great. The sun was setting and we could see the orange sunset.
I always tell him to make wishes on stars and stuff, so his proposal focused on that, when he asked "you know what I wish for?" and I asked "what?", and I said "The same thing I always wish for: happily ever after," as he pulled out the ring and asked me to marry him.
I was shocked and shook for a good bit of time. Honestly was the surprise of a lifetime!
I said yes about 3 or 4 times!!! There were tears and happiness.
The rest of the night was a blur. I remember that there was skeeball, but not much else.
Our date is set, but we are not announcing it to everyone until after our Disney Trip, we are just trying to enjoy the moment and get a jump on the planning!
October 17, 2009 will be here before we know it!!!

The other added bonus is that it is located near our family, so they won't need to travel! Since my old bedroom has been changed into a craft room for my mother, my sister and I will stay in a hotel close to the church and reception site. Then DF and I will go back and spend our wedding night in the same room.
I laugh because I was poking it with my toe - I thought it was a misplaced **** implant! (I was young!!) But in all seriousness that's a beautiful place to get engaged and a beautiful time of year there. You should have great weather and temperatures. And the foliage!!
I love things that have a lot of thought put into them like that. And Cider, Tea and Carmel Apples? Totally yum!!
