Pizzeria Coming?

This might be OK but why can't they have a place somewhere that has GOOD American-style pizza too? That would be a hit with kids and grownups!

Ooo! Having tried the real thing and can safely say that no other pizza can compare to Italy's, I'm excited at the thought of decent pizza at Disney! Thin crust pizza is right up my alley! :thumbsup2

What is "American Style" pizza? I mean, really? Do you mean like Dominos or Papa John's? I'd classify the CURRENT WDW pizza as most definitely "American Style"...somewhere in between thin crust and Chicago style, with a 'bread-y' crust (shell), thick cooked tomato sauce, and mozzarella cheese.

Every region of America has a different "style" of pizza. There is no "American" pizza. When you say that, I think: Dominos, Pizza Hut, Papa John's, etc...

You can get all those by calling from your hotel room and having it delivered!

This sounds great. Always nice to have another excuse to go to Disney & experience something new.:cool1:

Wow! Those prices are steep! I come from an Italian pizza family - won many awards and have been in busines for over 30 years. My dad uses like 10 different kinds of tomatoes in his sauce (come from Italy), real mozzarella (it's very expensive), etc., and doesn't, nor would ever charge those prices. He is going to crack up when I show him that menu, and then he'll probably want to open a pizzeria up there himself - LOL!

Seriously, the pizza in WDW is horrible, so hopefully this pizza will be better and more authentic.

No, I mean a 'good' version of pizza with traditional (for us) toppings. Like pepperoni for example. It doesn't have to be from a chain - we have plenty of good mom and pop type pizza places even in this area.

The menu for the new place is awfully pricey and reminds me a little of California Pizza Kitchen. I hope that it will be authentic because there's certainly a place for that too.

Disney's not likely to contract with a mom and pop pizzeria.

Domino's, Pizza Hut, etc. don't make pizza. They make something that resembles pizza but has none of its inherent goodness, concocted in a lab to fool American diners to think they are eating pizza. ;)
