all ears says this place is great, wonderfull theming and a must see?
just looks like counter service to me, anyone been there? pizza good and where is it at ak?

Must see? Hmmm...don't know about that. The pizza is decent, the hot Italian sandwich better and there is plenty of indoor air conditioned seating.
It is located at the head of the walkway that leads you to Camp Minnie-Mickey, next to Island Mercantile.

It's Disney Pizza. Certainly not a must see. Or a must eat, either. It's fine. Nothing special.

Was there Saturday in the rain (the characters who are normally outside were inside).

From the menus that I've found online, it seems the kids choices are those darn chicken nuggets and mac & cheese. Is this still accurate? I'm kind of suprised that a place marketed (and named) as a pizza place, doesn't have a pizza kids meal.

We were there in mid-January this year, and from what I remember, they had pizza and peanut butter & jam sandwiches.

It was ok...we got pizza and pizza kid's meals there. Not a must see, though.

Not a must see, but we enjoy Pizzafari. It's a nice break from the park, and plenty of seating. I enjoy the Chicken Caesar Salad, along with a slice of my 4yo dd's pizza! :thumbsup2

I wouldn't call it a must see either, but my dh & I enjoy it there. It seems to be the place we always end up at when we're at AK.

It's AIR CONDITIONED! Which is ALWAYS a bonus at AK in the summer, when we go. :woohoo:

I would call it a "must see" but not a "must eat" -- the theming and artwork is quite outstanding. At the very least, check out the bathroom --I even took photos of some of the unique details...frog-pattern in the tile floor, raised ceramic lizards in the tile on the wall. Of course I am a huge fan of AK in general...

And they serve some nice amber beer that my DH likes - we always seem to end up here too (other CS places in the AK serve that beer too). As others mentioned - lots of seating and we haven't found the lines terrible.

We don't seem to eat a lot of pizza otherwise when we go to WDW so this works out fine. I gotta try Flame Tree sometime though!

I LOVE their breadsticks - go figure :) And the artwork is definitely unusual and worth seeing. We also just enjoy the air conditioned sit down break. Now must eat in AK for my DH is the Flame Tree Barbecue - he loves that place.

Boy, I'm really in the minority I guess-it's a must see and a must eat for me. However, I can't speak for their pizza since I always have the hot Italian deli sandwich. It's in Discovery Island, on the corner to Camp Minnie-Mickey. There are so many different rooms to choose from that it's not very noisy if you go to a back room. And on a really hot day, their frozen lemonade is sure to cool you off.

We were also pleasantly surprised at how quiet it was in the middle of a summer afternoon. It was a refreshing break! (We are also fans of the breadsticks!)

We ate there 2 weeks ago....it's just a regular counter service place IMO. As I remember, the pizza was the same kind of pizza we had at several other places on our trip that week.

We ate there in September. There was no pizza on the kids meal,I could not understand that and I said to the lady we have the dp and she said kids had to get a kids meal.So I gave my pizza to the kids and had the cheese quesedilla's kids meal..not good.I would check on the menu before going if your kids want pizza and you have the dining plan.Nice place though.

There was no pizza on the kids meal
hmm.. I guess that is because the pizza is the same pizza for both adults and kids, they don't have a smaller pizza for a kids meal. It isn't that big a pizza and I suppose they prefer not to charge less for it. Makes it difficult, though, if you are on the DP and the kids want pizza.

Pizza is good, breadsticks are not. Our kids love Pizzafari. Here are some pix from December:
