Pizzaaaa!!!!!

Ok, I called and was told no. I personally have never seen a delivery vehicle at the sites.

Never had a problem with the TE pizza. Of course they are only either cheese or pepperoni...no sausage, supreme, or other, but pretty good after a long day at the parks or at thr Fort. What really bugs me is there are no longer salads available. Seems like they used to have some kind of dessert available too. But a couple GY&Go's do the trick. (Is that a valid abbreviation?)

Go to any resort, tell them you're there for dinner reservations and the guard waves you through and points you to the guest parking area. Now that the drop gate at the fort has been moved to the other end of the overflow lot to keep people out of it they can cruise past the guard shack, through the overflow lot and to any loop they want. Feel safer yet?

The delivery people need to smarten up, take the signs off their cars, tell the guard they're there for dinner or the boat parade or the HDDR and in they'll go.

What we like is sort of a poor man's pizza when camping and that is what we call "English Muffin" pizzas. Get some english muffins, some pizza sauce and you can either just take pepperoni or we use a mix of mild and spicy Italian sausage fried up at home and frozen in a zip lock and some pizza cheese. Then use you imagination using the split english muffins for the crust. Thomas used to offer the super sized muffins some years ago, but I haven't seen them lately.

Another good thing about this is everyone can make their own and then heat up just theirs when ready and everyone doesn't have to eat at the same time to have hot pizza. It's quite good since the "nooks and crannies" in the muffins really hold the sauce and the bottoms crisp up nice.

We usually get a pizza from TE when we go to FW, while not the best I think it is tolerable.

Well just to test the theory that - if you ask the same question twice you will get two different answers. I just called the front desk to ask if I can get outside pizza delivery to my site and was told no. I asked why and was told they do not allow outside deliveries to made to the site because they do not want outsiders driving through the loops due to safety reasons. This surprised me, I expected them to say because it is sold at Trails End. I wonder if the pizza delivery guy (with pizza signs on his car) came to the guard shack and said he was going to Trails End for dinner if they would let him in.:rotfl::rotfl: Seems they let everyone in now anyway.

Anybody else want to call and get a third answer? Can you tell I'm bored today?? Too cold and windy to go outside.

You can call the front desk and get every answer you want, everyone knows to find out the truth you need to ask a bus driver or one of the people who clean the sites.:lmao:

I've found the bus drivers know more than a lot of CMs on general WDW things. Maybe not about pizza, but I've never asked one about it.

I hope you know I was just joking, right?

At least on the bus driver part, everyone knows to get the real scoop talk to people cleaning the sites.

And don't forget about the garbage men, :thumbsup2 don't cut them short,,they are always "in the know" too, :thumbsup2

This is too funny, but I would put my money on the Bus Drivers over the garbage folks or site cleaners since they are there on a limited time basis.

:thumbsup2:thumbsup2 Totally on the joking. Yep, those cleaning people are "in-the-know".

As all of us knows if you get past the first gate you can go anywhere in the Fort. Not just meeting people at the front desk or outpost. It is easy for any companies to get a Fort map. If you call the front desk some cast members may say no, but anyone can get in and drive around the Fort. Just look at all the RV cleaning companies just looping

Well in my experiences and we are usually in the trailer between around noon/1pm and 6pm and our stays are in the 45 to 60 day time frame, the only commercial type vehicles I have seen are mostly 80 to 90% the RV detailers (I personally hate that being allowed, but it is so I have to live with it:confused3), a few RV mobile repair type vehicles and what I know are the very, very select few of cab type vehicles mainly handicapped ... never a simple delivery vehicle like pizza.

I just got told for the last time. I asked for a duty manager and told him I’m getting 2 different stories. He told me NO outside deliveries to my site. So I guess NO is the word for the tonight and it will change tomorrow with the new late night duty manager

I thought i read that RV Detailers are now banned from the Fort, too.

When I called to get some other info Saturday I asked about the detailers. The lady I was speaking to started giving me some run around. Another lady took the call from her and gave me a STRAIGHT answer. She said we have contracts with theses guys that's why they can come on property. That sounds more likely then the, well people ask we have to let them in run around answer.

Getting back to Pizza...I was just wondering if anyone has tried baking a pizza in the BBQ grills? Just wondering.

I was thinking of bringing my pizza stone, using a single layer of hot coals, and covering the top of the grill with aluminum foil...hummm, might be worth a shot...camper's pizza oven :)

The last time we camped at the fort we bought a frozen "rising crust" pizza and cooked in the toaster oven...not bad pizza and it was cheaper than delivery or TE. Just something else to consider.

When we camp and do not order pizza out we cook all of our pizza on a large Weber Q. I hate to heat up the the Rv just to make pizza
